Well Scooter's not annoying me so he must not be evil. I do agree with MJW that Scooter's vote on MJW was pre-planned. Something he'd do no matter if he was Evil or not. I think that's what struck me oddly. Felt very deliberate. But I will admit in the following posts he has felt like sand between my teeth.

Unvote for now. Going to look back and decide who I think is most suspicious. Hint: on my first run through Cyneheard is peaking already, but I can't tell if he's scum or just Cyneheard.

@MJW, I love you too. banghead

Checking in, four score and seven years ago, MJW voted for me because he thought that I'm too hard for his mind to read...

Apparently nothing has changed there. rolleye

@Tasunke, there was one game where MJW was a wolf and rage-quit at the end because he was the last wolf left and outplayed himself in his mind before the village even got around to it. I forget which one.

But for my first vote, I like Catwalk. Shake the tree some and see if anything other than a scared cat comes out?

Friends, Romans, and Coutnrymen. First Consul Gaius Julius of the Civilized Roman nation has a proclamation to announce in the forum.

As I'm pretty sure MJW is a innocent villager, I think the best course of action at this point is to change my vote to CatWalk.

While it is still possible that Scooter is a wolf, from what others have said it seems his vote for MJW was a known quantity from the beginning, not as a wolf plan necessarily but to draw out a reaction from MJW to see if he is playing the wolf.

Its not that I really suspect Catwalk to be a wolf, but neither do I suspect him to be a villager.

And of course he initiated the vote against me. While not a reason to vote for him outright, if he was a wolf perhaps he would try for an easy kill by targeting a newbie on the first round. I mean, "trying to be helpful? filler posts?" what is this on about? Admittedly he said his suspicions were small, but it really just reads as a sowing of seeds to me.

For the record, I was almost the first to vote on Scooter but decided to wait a bit to see what happened, as I did not wish to be the first to vote on him. Especially since I was new to the game and my suspicions were only quite minimal.
However then, another posted a vote for someone I was already thinking of, along a similar strain of logic. Therefore, feeling justified in my suspicions I made them known.

Therefore, fellow nations, it is with a heavy heart that I must, for the time being, set my vote for Catwalk. What will come of this my friends? Only time will tell.

Tasunke, because I'm not sure I can take too many days of the Roman roleplaying and because As the Celts he's my natural enemy.

I vote Tasunke as well, for a parallel reason.

Quick thoughts:

1) Yep, my MJW vote was intentional and I think it worked just fine - he seems villagerish to me (yet still as crazy as ever).

2) I think Cyneheard just reads guilty a little too naturally. In every game he plays he seems to get falsely suspected on day 1. Just FWIW - doesn't mean he's not guilty here, but I'm trying to take that into account.

3) I've always liked the general approach that you try not to lynch newbies on day1 unless it's blindingly obvious that they are a wolf. It's just no fun for them to be introduced to the game that way. Therefore I'd like to give Tasunke some time before we drag him out and hang him.

4) Selrahc briefly reminded me of past games where he's played WW. His posts were always completely logical and informative, and have me silently nodding my head in agreement and I get to the end and I realize nothing particularly helpful was actually said, just completely accurate and deliberate sentences. Given the super small sample size here this probably means nothing at all, but I'm curious if anyone else noticed that or not.

As I'm less than sober, I'm not going to vote right now. I'll just give my two cents for the moment.

I think you're right, that was very revealing, and I think "ferret out MJW" is the type of game plan that makes sense before seeing your own role. No read there.

Happened in every game so far. For one thing, I tend to ramble. It's just how I write in informal settings; look at my PB5 thread if you're allowed to.

I'll look at the thread again tomorrow and see who's jumping out at me as a problem. Unfortunately, my strongest reads today were "Not Guilty." I think we've had too much silence, though. A lot of the people I thought were silent are still being silent.

Agreed that Tasunke is a bad D1 lynch, although I think he's reading as Innocent Noob to me, not Guilty Noob. Even so, a new player will show his true colors soon enough, so let's not rush to conclusions because we're holding him to a higher standard than what's reasonable given his time.

No response at this time; need to evaluate.

*Not "I thought were silent", but "listed as being silent" like 8 hours ago haven't posted. Like I said, less than sober. I miss things like that.
