Hmm, perhaps I wasn't clear when I explained the grading situation: The grading is done, has been done, is finished since the end of night 1. Now me being quiet is just my usual self as opposed to my overburdened self.
Now that we've got that cleared up...
@ Mardoc, you're right, I got turned around in my reading and did my reasoning based on an innocent scooter assumption. I suppose that gives away my personal opinion of him right now doesn't it
@ MJW, a huge list of reasons for Tasunke, but no vote? What's up with that?

Okay, I still don't like you but there are still people worse than you.
Tasunke can just be a horrible villager because he has standards to live up to. Gaspar has standards to live up to and not voting Tasunke or even attacking him failures to live up to those standards. Maybe if Gaspar did something other than dumping his vote on some random weak player things would be different...

The vast majority of them, though, are calming, defusing, pointing out signs of innocence and removing pressure from people. This is extremely unhelpful! We can't learn anything without pressure and conflict, and without learning anything, we lose.
My internal debate is whether this is village scooter trying to be friendly, or wolf scooter trying to slow down village truth finding.
Posts like this confuse me. Why do you have it in your head that the vast majority of my posts are just pointing out signs of innocence??? Someone made that comment about me like halfway through day1 (when there was zero suspicious activity to go on), and it seems like that meme has caught on despite being completely untrue. I'm going to dump a bunch of quotes here. This is by no means exhaustive, but it should get the point across. Also, the "friendly" thing surprised me as I got semi-heated a few times... Or at least by my standards . I almost never blow up, so just understand that even slight rudeness is a big deal for me. . Anyways:
scooter Wrote:People who ping as suspicious to me:
1) Selrahc - he's either played a perfect day 1 wolf (participate occasionally, never say anything controversial, and spend most of the time watching the village do stupid things and not getting sucked in), or he's played a lousy villager day 1. For someone like him who is quite good at this game, the former makes MUCH more sense.
2) Gaspar - This is solely because I find it hard to believe that he's whiffing so badly on his read of me.
3) Slowcheetah - Because if I was a wolf and a newbie was on my team and wanted help, I'd instruct them to play day 1 exactly how Slowcheetah has played it
4) Catwalk - His style has changed several times today, which sounds like someone whose suspicious behavior got pointed out by teammates and has since made a conscious effort to play differently
5) Jkaen - Barely. I stuck my vote on him initially because "I dk who's guilty so might as well pick someone quiet" which I still maintain is a fairly good idea.
scooter Wrote:MJW (ya that one) Wrote:Also it is not like you Rowain to waste your vote that has no chance of going anywhere in a critical situation.
Glad somebody else noticed this. Super common wolf tactic. More to come when night phase is over.
scooter Wrote:Anyways, here are the people that look suspicious to me and why:
1) Selrahc - I explained my reasoning for this yesterday. It just felt to me that he played a perfect day 1 if he's a werewolf but pretty meh for a villager. It just reminded me of the way he played when I was WW with him - he would be mostly quiet, but when he DID post it would focus on little peculiarities of people that were "safe" people to hit - people who were low-risk people to target.
2) Slowcheetah - Also explained this yesterday - he's playing how I'd want a new wolf to play if I was on his team. Also, not going to get him to "show himself" until we put pressure on him.
3) Rowain - That throwaway vote seems super suspicious to me. Not counting Meiz (dead and confirmed clean), he was the ONLY person not to drop a vote on one of the big 3, and he was even around to do so. Surely villager Rowain would've had an opinion out of the 3, whereas werewolf Rowain wouldn't want to be the deciding vote on a villager.
4) Gaspar - Again, no one will really be able to relate with me on this one because it's based off my knowledge of my own innocence which no one else can confirm. Still, besides that I have no tangible reasons. It's a gut feeling based off a thin string that I can't even prove exists ( ), but I needed to include his name here.
People I have very mixed feelings about:
1) MJW - Felt innocent early, but the point about no obsessive bandwagoning against Sareln was a really sharp one. I know Gaspar noted to me during WW7 that when he played werewolf with MJW that MJW would freak out whenever wolves targeted each other in thread, so perhaps MJW and Sareln are both wolves and MJW is super hesitant to call him out? I don't know. I find him impossible to read.
2) Tasunke - I still think my early observations about "seems like noobish villager" was a generally good one, but he sure seems to be milking the "noob villager" thing for all he's worth rather than improving which... Makes me feel he's trying to take advantage of people who feel similarly to me. So I'm mixed about him too.
scooter Wrote:FYI I'd be down with voting Gaspar too. His actions are just screaming wolf to me - it's like he's picking an "easy suspect target" and then coming up with reasons why they seem wolfish rather than looking for suspicious activity and calling people out on it. There's a subtle difference, but one is what a wolf does, and the other is what a villager does. Especially because Gaspar is usually quite good at reading people and his observations just seem a little too "duh" for him.
There, you have a sample. I've made it blindingly clear who I think is suspicious. Half of the players in this game have yet to do that today. I would like to see lists from Novice, Ichabod, Lewwyn, Zakalwe, Selrahc, etc etc etc. So can we stop the "scooter just defends people" meme? Because it's not only untrue, but it's the opposite - I've brought cases against people far more often than most people.

Pretty sure that was me both times. It might just be confirmation bias - most of your suspicion has been delivered recently, especially today while I've been oscillating between the thread and working, so it was easy to miss.

...especially when I've been pretty sure you're a wolf, so I can discount whatever you say. I really shouldn't let myself get sucked into that when I don't have any real data.
On reflection, I think I'm going to go with Selrahc. He just seems the same as usual, and he's usually a wolf.

On iPod, just lost large post to safari crashing POS apple browser.
Shorter this time: Mardoc/Rowain as a wolf. Mardoc as inquisitor but own thoughts hidden (impression, may not be truth). Rowain for non participatory vote day1, such a close tie but reluctant to influence it is strange.
Tasunke, we're you the extra vote on day1 or am I just imagining that claim?
For now I'm planning on voting Mardoc when I get to a comp.

I haven't finished reading but I have to get this off my chest, I'll catch up on the non-braindead players later:
MJW, you are an aggressive and unpleasant troll. You think you are really insightful but instead all you do is make unbelievably incendiary comments with no actual knowledge of what you are talking about. You have no idea what I would I do in any situation because we don't exist on the same plane, let alone the same universe. I do things like stop and consider what I am saying before I finish saying it. I can do other things like show other people the respect of getting their name right. I can complete a sentence without copious spelling errors and proper grammar in my native language. And I can critique someone's play without every other word talking about how bad they are.
I have no idea why you keep playing these games when all you do is annoy the other players with your trolling. You are trolling me now, just like you trolled Sareln last game, just like you troll Sullla everywhere he goes. This is not that sort of community, trolls are not welcome here and I think RB would be a better place if you forgot the address to this website. You've been trolling me pretty consistently in these games since WW6 and I'm sick and tired of it. I could go through and explain why you are wrong, but I don't care to. I'm sick and tired of your bullshit.
If you want to engage me in a civil discussion about my play, I'd be happy to explain it to you. But if you want to get a response from me ever again, the following are my requirements:
- You may not make any meta comments.
- You must make a legitimate attempt to correctly state the names of anyone in your post.
- You must not use the phrase "so and so is so bad." You are a bad werewolf player, panicky and over-reactive. You occasionally have good insights but they are drowned out because you lack the composure to make a coherent argument which does not insult everyone around you. So you do not get to intimate that anyone else's play is bad, because you do not know what good looks like.
If you cannot adhere to those requirements, I have nothing to say to you ever again.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

I don't have that much time right now, but I wanted to say I'm gong to do up a post about Mardoc a bit later. I'm starting to think Scooter might be a bit innocent and that Tasunke might be innocent, though honestly I just want to lynch him so bad. I also agree that slowcheetah is a good target because he was so quiet, so hidden. I had completely forgotten he was even in the game until it was brought up yesterday.
