Well, I think turn 118 was a pretty important one, so I'm not sure if that would be possible.

Well, I don't mind eitehr way, if the save reaches me, I'll play it, whatever was decided.

I can't get excited for it Ellimist. I'm emotionally over it. I don't want to touch it anymore.

That sucks. Especially since I was about to Spring the Desert Barrier on both Illios and Ellmist this turn!

I was also about to revolt to Arete and Conquest so I could finally start churning out some Centaur Archers! Bummer. Kuriotates take so long to build up, the game was just starting to get fun for me.

Regarding DaveV's issue, I had some similar weirdness, though it never actually affected gameplay. Once it told me I had finished building a Pyre Zombie (was actually a Warrior) and twice I had it pop-up an offer to change civics when I hadn't finished researching anything.

I know Ice Golems are in Age of Ice and several modmods ... are they in base?

they can NEVER leave ice, regardless of the circumstances.

In retrospect though ... you didn't need them quite so difficult to defeat.

I mean, sure otherwise ppl could just warrior spam though it (I guess) but thats at an enourmous cost to benefit ratio imho.

Plus ... wouldn't the held Magicians make things interesting anyways? (Imagine a field of Barbatos ... yikes)

Those are not Ice Golems, but Ice Elementals, as in Ice II spell. The only movement restriction on them is can't enter desert ( and that's plain desert, floodplains and oasis' are fair game ).

I actually did. Hyborem rush would break this map otherwise. Magic Immunity was an error though, which I don't plan to repeat anytime soon.

Alternatively you could have made it all desert ... that would be interesting as it restricts movement. And maybe put in plain ole Fire Elementals (but nomadic and with 4 moves)

Then not include sun nodes on the map, and perhaps ban any civs with Sun mana in their palace.

Regular fire elementals then wouldn't be as large of a problem invading peoples lands ... yet would STILL make travelling the desert super scary wink

(slower movement, less defense, etc)

I mean I guess you could make little paths with Spring, but that actually sounds pretty fun! smile

I know that. Using Ice GOLEMS would have been better wink

I disagree ... a field of "Barbatos" units slinging Einherjar, Fire Elementals, and Earth Elementals would have still been a major dampener for any Hyborem campaigns.

And why make them strong? They were already numerous ... just make them really fast, a few first strikes, and maybe some collateral I guess (can barrage promos work on melee units?)

I can see how Magic Immune was the 'I quit' factor for Lewwyn, but I don't think it was the only mistake here ... and I don't think magic immune vs non magic immune would be the night and day difference people are thinking it would make.

(although I'd agree that is part of the deadliness behind the Appocalypse Horsemen, so there is some merit to that argument)

I actually considered that, but summoning Hyborem breaks that map even harder and there's no way to restrict Fire Elementals from entering player areas ( there's no movement restriction on fire elemental ). Sure, I can give them Animal AI, but then they won't attack Hybo if he spawns in the desert.

This unit does not exist in base FFH.
