A few questions:

Quote:7 points: Fastest Cultural Victory
4 points: Second Fastest
3 points: Third Fastest
2 points: Fourth Fastest
1 point: Fifth, Sixth, Seventh Fastest

So even if an AI wins a culture victory (or several do) we continue playing until we achieve a culture victory? In other words, according to the rules we could legally go beyond 2050 AD. Also, basically this means if we get a culture victory we'll get a double score for doing it? What I mean is, 25 pts for a culture victory plus x pts per the above quoted statement?

Sorry, this is my first epic/adventure so I'd like to be sure.

That part of the scoring comes into play after everybody has reported.
It's bonus scoring to compare the finish dates of the participants.

No, if the AI wins by culture, the game will end in a loss, just as if the AI launched a spaceship first. Of course, the AI never plays for a cultural victory (in non-Better AI), so the only real threat to "lose" is if the player gets eliminated militarily.

As Kodii explained, this is post-game bonus points scoring to whomever manages to win the fastest. smile

I could've sworn there used to be a 250AD... as for the 20% culture rule, we can use this purely for the culture in the late game, rather than purely for WW right? It sure sounds that way from the game description but just to be safe...

250AD exists for Normal game speed, just not on Epic.

Yes, you can run up to 20% culture whenever you feel like it. As several have posted, accumulating that culture takes long enough even with the boost.

How about the other point of time 1500 AD? That does not either exist on epic speed. Should we use 1502 AD?

Quick question re: Wonders...

IF we take a Wonder by force and have it at end of game (but clearly did not "build" it), does it count toward point total?

Yes. 1502AD = 1500AD for this game. (Silly Epic speed!)

No. To quote from the game setup:

Quote:13 points: build the Great Lighthouse
7 points: build the Parthenon
3 points: build the Hagia Sophia
2 points: build Chichen Itza
2 points: build Versailles
1 point: build Eiffel Tower
1 point: build Hollywood
I overlooked the dates, but I didn't overlook this issue. wink

I didn't see this question before, but it's one that needs to be answered. Thanks to Compromise for bringing it to my attention. smile

Long story short: Yes, you can build culture. I probably would have disallowed it if I had thought about it when writing the rules, but I didn't so you're free to use this option.
