Maybe Rowain is thinking something else, but basically I don't think Ichabod being guilty necessarily means Zak is a villager. Think about it. The reveal didn't come until it looked like Selrahc was going to hang. Sure he had mild pressure all day, but him emerging as the leader was a new development. What if Selrahc has a special wolf ability and they need to save him? It's a textbook wolf play - sacrifice one wolf and in return you get 1) more time for your important wolf (Selrahc) to live and 2) TONS of credibility for Zakalwe.
On top of this, Zak seeing this is still fishy to me. Usually a night kill is only carried out by 1 wolf so that a tracker would have to guess properly. So, you're telling me that all of the following is true:
1. Zakalwe = tracker
2. Zakalwe guessed correctly that Ichabod would do a kill
3. Zakalwe guessed correctly that Meiz would be a target
Now I know that he isn't necessarily guessing "Ichabod = wolf and = killer" and that he's actually just guessing "Ichabod has a night action of some sort" but still. That's
incredibly lucky of him to nail all of that on night 1. So much so that it makes me suspicious. Which of these scenarios are most likely?
A: Zakalwe is a tracker. Ichabod is a werewolf. Zakalwe correctly picked Ichabod and Meiz both.
B: Zakalwe, Selrahc, and Ichabod are werewolves. Selrahc has a key power, other wolves don't matter that much. They figure they can slip through day 2, but then Selrahc looks to be the lynch candidate. So Ichabod is sacrified giving Zak cover and Selrahc time. Easily worth it - a trade I would push for if I was on the wolf team.
So that's what I'm thinking right now. Scenario A is certainly possible, but B is extremely plausible too in my opinion.
Of course this is all assuming Ichabod is a wolf. If he's not, then I don't even know.
(FYI - we did this same spiel back in WW3 when I was void-wolf. Zakalwe and I went after each other constantly in thread and I tried to get him lynched to gain cover. We won the game. Zak would definitely be familiar with this move, and Selrahc and Ichabod are both very strong werewolves so it all reeks of wolf power-play to me)
