Catwalk Wrote:2) If your case (as a wolf) is hopeless, the best move for the other wolves would be to abandon you. Which would, in turn, allow you to argue that the wolves are gleefully piling on innocent scooter.

This proves my point. Ichabod as a wolf yesterday was far more hopeless than I am now. Then if I'm a wolf, why didn't I abandon him? He sure didn't have any special abilities. His ability kinda sucked really. So why stick my neck out for a dead wolf and give myself away? That's moronic.

Catwalk Wrote:That said, I'm still not decided yet. I do think you're the best option for today, the evidence is very compelling. What's your ability, who do you suspect and why?

I wish my ability was one which would clear me, but it's kinda bleh and pretty neutral. (Well unless there's no vig, in which case it clears me.) Well, it's really bleh considering how much suspicion I've had on me. Since even if I magically survive there's no way I'll ever be night killed, here's all my info:

Civ: Japan
Tech: Feudalism
Ability: Each night I can send a name in. If I get night-killed, I get to use my hari-kari abilities or whatever to "take that person with me"

I sent in Selrahc both nights with a message like "yeah no way I'm getting killed tonight but just in case." lol

Last time Ichabod and I played wolf together we had ZERO wolf lynches in the only recorded perfect game ever. Do you really think that:

1) Ichabod the wolf would tell novice the villager that he's convinced scooter the wolf is innocent.
2) scooter the wolf would tell the whole village the Zak the villager's tracking of Ichabod the wolf is a farce thus endangering himself for [i Wrote:
no reason whatsoever[/i].

Also, I think this had a lot to do with it. I know if I rolled wolf and saw Ichabod on my team again, I'd think we had it in the bag. And believe me, I've been a part of a fair few wolfpacks myself, wolves do not give each other up unless its absolutely necessary. You feel part of a team and you don't want to lose a teammate. So I think you guys got a little cocky.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

Ugh, forgot to answer the second half of this. Pretty sure 1 of these two:

-Selrahc: I've explained this pretty frequently. He's played a textbook wolf game thus far. Just killing it, and it's suckering all of you.

-Tasunke: Had several pretty blatant wolf slips at the end of the last day.

After that I'm a little stumped. Gaspar keeps saying things over and over again that I highly doubt villager Gaspar would say, but whatever. I've probably got blinders on. I no longer really believe Rowain to be werewolf - a lot of his actions made a lot of sense yesterday towards the end and were things werewolves (certainly not Rowain the werewolf anyways) wouldn't do.

scooter Wrote:I came back to my computer with 15 mins to go, saw Zak spilled the beans, and saw a village in complete freak-out mode. My first thought was "weird timing" and I watched my top werewolf target get magically saved when he was finally getting voting momentum. So yes, that scared me a little and I wanted to make sure we weren't making a stupid decision. You yourself finally wrote something like "Guys, not that hard, lynch Ichabod and we'll either get a wolf now or have enough information to get a couple wolves." That was the first thing in like 30 posts that made sense to me, so I went with that. Also:

No, this is a retcon. Here's all the scooter posts after zak's reveal, before the deadline.

scooter Wrote:Yeeesh. Didn't see that coming. Lynching Ichabod now gives way more information than lynching Selrahc. Ichabod it is.

scooter Wrote:Ichabod - last chance - what is your exact role and who exactly did you visit last night? Give us the full details of your night action PM to Uberfish without copy/pasting.

scooter Wrote:Zak - I really wish you would've given us more than 15 minutes to think this through. That's what seems really fishy about this. In a 72 hour day and you decided to wait 71 hours and 45 minutes???

scooter Wrote:Also is there any precedence for a redirector? That seems crazy to me - that there would 1) be a redirector 2) they happen to guess the right person to redirect on night 1.

Anyone want to step up and claim that?

scooter Wrote:Do we even know that a tracker would see two masons talking together?

scooter Wrote:His posts feel like he's as dumbfounded as the rest of us which is what's bothering me.

scooter Wrote:Apologies - I saw it with 15 minutes left and I just had the 4:45 stuck in my head when I wrote that. Still, I would've preferred a little more time.

Glad you disagree with me actually.

scooter Wrote:And that's time according to my clock.

What do we see?

First, shut up and vote Ichabod.
Second, voice doubts:
  • Ichabod, defend yourself
  • zakalwe, you're being suspicious
  • What if there's a redirector?
  • How do we know that a tracker saw the truth?
  • Ichabod seems dumbfounded, innocent
  • zak, why'd you have to pressure us like this?
And, frankly, why'd you make the mistake, scooter? Because zakalwe was smart enough to give you no time to think. 30 minutes before the deadline was enough that a bandwagon could probably be assembled, but short enough that it was uncertain and might have been derailed. He tempted you to try!

If you'd kept Ichabod off the block yesterday, so nothing was confirmed - that would have bought another 72 hours for the two of you to spin. And another mislynch. That seems a prize worth trying for, to me.

Alright I'm checking out of this for awhile. Apologies for the frustration. Just annoyed at how badly some of you are whiffing. I feel very strongly that we have several experienced werewolves in this pack. In WW7 when we had the perfect wolf win, someone on the team (can't remember who) commented that the village struggling so badly in that game (the highest suspected players all game long were villagers being targeted by villagers) was due to some really strong players being wolf and not really helping the village at all. I feel like the same sort of thing is happening in this game, resulting in some of these blatant misreads and people happily and ignorantly going along with them.

This is admittedly partially why people like Gaspar and Selrahc look more appealing to me - I have a hard time thinking a village with Selrahc, Gaspar, Ichabod, novice, and Zakalwe all on it's side would be floundering so badly if not for Zak nailing a night action that handed us a lynch. Sure enough Ichabod turned out to be guilty, and I'm pretty convinced he's not the only one. Really, that Ichabod "scry" was incredibly lucky, and without that I have no idea where we'd be, but it sure reeks of a generally experienced wolf team pulling the strings.

No it's not at all. That'd be a stupid thing to try for.

Gaspar Wrote:I mean, there was serious and believed talk that zakalwe who just delivered a wolf on a platter was participating in some super secret triple blind. I'm pretty sure Catwalk and Rowain are convinced the Secret Service killed JFK. So I'm not at all surprised by scooter's bold play at the end of the day and overnight.
Pfft, everybody knows aliens killed JFK. Same aliens Hitler got his technology from, btw. I just cooked up a new crackpot theory, and this one is so good that I don't dare post it openly for fear of losing what remains of my reputation. But if you're really curious...
novice is possessed! AGAIN! yikes

scooter, would it be reasonable to say that your arguments so far have all centered around "A wolf wouldn't do this"? I don't think that's enough by itself, and I think the time pressure is sufficient to counter it. Shit happens when you have to act fast. Also, Ichabod posted most of the damning statements in a private forum. He had little suspicion on him at the time, and could probably reasonably assume that he could keep those statements private for a while longer (before killing novice). One possible explanation for panicking would be that Ichabod is the only experienced wolf other than you, and you were desperate to save him. If Tasunke and MJW are also wolves, I wouldn't blame you smile

Honestly, I'm starting to think Scooter might be a wolf. If it true, then I really feel like a dumbass.

If Scooter is innocent, then likely Mardoc and Selrahc are wolves ...

However if Scooter is a wolf ... then I think Mardoc is innocent. (but Selrahc I'm still not sure of)

FWIW, the scry wasn't lucky at all. Zakalwe saw the same things I did that made both you and Ichabod suspicious. Scrying a target you perceive as possibly guilty isn't lucky, its using your role correctly.
