Thought I'd spend some time on the current state of my opponents:
Score:
TT and Zero are at 194.
Serdoa is at 122
Pop:
TT and Zero are size 3
Serdoa is size 2
Land:
TT and Zero are the same as me - Serdoa has more land tiles, fewer water, so I think he settled on the equivalent of north of us. I'll know when and if I ever actually get eyes on his land, of course.
Soldiers:
Everyone is at 25K
No one has founded a religion, no one has switched civics.
ok - The scores indicate that TT and Zero have 6 techs and serdoa 5.
I think that serdoa has hunting, wheel (start), agri, mining and BW and has built no extra military.
I'm not sure what techs the others have - TT has myst and mining and BW. I assume hunting and agri. The last is either wheel or it's AH and he's built a warrior. Given that he's sunk a lot into stonehenger, I'd say it's wheel.
Zero has agri/mining (start) and BW and hunting (he has built a scout). I'm pretty sure he's got wheel, because he built a scout, though it could be AH and he built a warrior as well.
So, I'm getting a big boost on wheel from everyone knowing it.

Serdoa was, in fact, building a settler. How do I know that?
well, the picture (that will be below) shows it: I climb a hill and see an archer (who was probably about to climb the same hill and a settler, heading for the mirror spot as to where I was going to settle.
interestingly, I cannot see his borders, so he clearly settled differently than I thought, probably to get the gold somehow - or maybe the stone/marble/silver, not sure.

The game has slowed down considerably.
I wanted to think some about my next moves.
Serdoa is settling a city soon and I'm sure zero will, too. At that point, the age of barb animals will end and the age of swarms of barb archers will begin.
My thoughts are that I prepare for that by whipping out a worker and using the overflow for a warrior or two, then whip out a settler for the mil city with some archers, then whip out a settler for other city.
That may change if someone sends chariots my way, of course.

ok - so, the chop came in and the worker has 1 turn to go. I'm going to whip it anyway and used the overflow on a warrior. The worker that chopped will go to the cow and pasture, spending a turn on a road on the way. the new worker will camp and road fur, then improve the copper, spending a turn on a road on the way to the copper. After the worker improves the cow, it'll finish the road, then go to road to connect the fur, then go to improve whereever I put down city #2.
My tech path now is archery - I have to figure if it should be pottery - I think archery is safer, though, with the unwashed hordes of barbs we'll be getting.
I didn't get a screenie, but serdoa moved his settler and archer south, presumably settling next to the horse. I moved my archer towards where Serdoa's city is, so I can get visibility.

And a fast turn-around.
I did whip the worker.
Attached is a screen-shot with serdoa's borders and where I believe his cap is located:
I believe he has settled next to the copper.
What does this do? Well, it gives him access to gold and silver in his cap, making his cap a better commerce one than mine.
however - it means it's also on flat land, not a hill.
Sorry I missed actually grabbing his borders.
Note - he still hasn't settled..
Maybe (I don't know) it should be a target. I mean, the sushi place is great - but I've got good food right here, too - I could make my cap a GP farm and use his as a commerce one. That requires a serious attack force, though.

Serdoa's cap is, in fact, on the PH south of the copper (or it's equivalent, at least), so it's not all that great a target (CG III archers suck, but they suck worse on hills).
Maya founded their 2nd city this turn, which means that as soon as Serdoa founds, the barbs will be coming out. He hasn' founded yet, though.

I switched to a warrior - I'll grow this turn and get the warrior next turn. Then I'll whip the settler and move the overlow into an archer.
Serdoa's power rating went up (i have his demos now) and top soldiers is pretty large for this time, so i"ll have to do some C&D to figure it out. I think it's too fast for HBR, though.
I'm trying to get visibility on his cap, but he's got an archer floating around.

I'm getting my settler out in a couple of turns - I'm going to head to the fish spot. I'm also researching hinduism, which should found in that spot, which will give me a faster border pop.
My second archer will head there, as will the one trying to get visibility on serdoa's cap if it can't.
Serdoa founded on the hill next to the horses - getting deer, wheat, pig (on hill) and corn. I have to decide whether I want that site or the flat land next to it. The flat land has better hammers, but the hill has more food and is easier to defend. I am not sure what to do at all. I suspect I'll go for the hill - guerilla II archers on a hill are tough nuts to crack and workshops are pretty decent under caste, which I might switch to at some point.

FINALLY got visibility into Serdoa's cap - he's got archery (has built another archer in his cap).
barb's are showing up.
I'll have some pics tonight. Settler in 2. Going to time polytheism to land the turn after I settle, to give me some more culture. That should be in 5 turns. I think I'll build an archer after the settler, then whip another settler.

so, whipped my settler - Serdoa's sending an archer up to harass me, so i need something to cover my furs. Can't let him get on there, cause it will be painful to get rid of him.
Everyone seems to be settling to get their horses - that's an advantage of being me, i get good archers cheaply, so can go get the fish site fast, then my horses. Plus dogs are useful, anyway.
TT's got 60 hammers in something, Serdoa 22 and zero 30, which makes me thinkg settler and either granary or worker for the others. I should probably figure out what everyone has by score... but I'm not going to
