With small packs, it's not all that likely that he'd have an experienced wolf with the time to proofread his posts.
novice Wrote:Regarding roles, it seems like each werewolf pack has an announcer. Maybe the packs have mirrored roles, seems like an easy way to balance them. Since Voyeur seems like a useless wolf role, maybe the wolves have gimped watchers. What do you think, Tasunke?
No offense to Tasunke, but seeing you address him specifically like this seems off. Given Tasunke's limited WW experience, why are you particularly interested in his take on the setup? Trying to draw him into a conversation and help him seem useful? It's probably too obvious, but you're smelling more and more like a wolf novice. No smoking guns anywhere, but your play just feels off.
Are you dense? I'm asking Tasunke for his take because he claims to BE a gimped watcher.
I have to run.

Now I wish I'd mentioned him earlier! I'm pretty sure he's asleep by now, or I'd be happy to vote for him just for extracting information.
Ichabod Wrote:But I think we can make the test with Tasunke and Bigger and maybe get some info from that. I wouldn't mind losing their power roles for one night to get that info.
Only - how would that even work? If we tell them to both watch you, for example, Bigger might be able to test if Tasunke fails to do so, but he could always lie and say 'yep, he totally did'. If we let Tasunke pick his own target, then there's no way for Bigger to know who to watch.
And still this would only test their powers, not their alignments. When there's already been fairly convincing arguments that either power could be on any team.

It's getting too late in here and the brains are not working... I'm almost desperate to find a new target, but that would require too much thought at this point. Zak's point against Bigger (which Ichabod just re-pointed out) is still quite valid. I'm not sure how verifying the powers would work. I believe Bigger has that power, it's just a question if he is villager or a wolf. Too tired to think it through
Bigger started his posts by encouraging me and Rowain as villagers big time. Maybe he is being honest, or maybe he simply wants to get me / us on his good side. I think I'm going to leave my vote on Bigger, the rest of you can save him for other days if necessary...
The thing with Commodore is that his play as a wolf would be even a bit too comical... I get a feeling that he is not that interested in these games. Could be the same behavior with a wolf role as well, hard to say.

Ichabod Wrote:Uberfish was clearly innocent at that point? What are you talking about, Zak? Is this game that easy?
In my mind, he was, yes. Remember, I was building a case around Uberfish mod-clearing himself based on his villager PM, and Rowain throwing a fit about it to the GM.
Meiz Wrote:I think I'm going to believe Bigger's claim for now, due to this post: http://realmsbeyond.net/forums/showthrea...post241548
It came before he had received any votes, so this role reveal was not planned due to them...
Good point. That looked like a bizarre request at the time, asking investigators to out themselves, but it makes more sense given his role claim. Now... would he also play it like that as a wolf voyeur? I don't know.
The problem with going for Jkaen or someone new now is that we could hit a power role. We already have two very expendable candidates to choose between.
If you know what I mean.

It would have gone s long way towards lessening my suspicions. Now I think you're telling the truth about RL pressure-- you could be switching tactics as a wolf but it sounds genuine to me. Or at least genuine enough that I need to decide between Bigger and Commodore for today when I can sneak it in during work.
Sorry, my head wasn't functioning properly yesterday. Nor it's today, but it's a bit better.

Yeah, this kind of thing never works and I don't want to try and coordinate it. But it could be possible to make one of them lie/show that he's already lying with a careful plan.

My vote for Jkaen is currently a placeholder. While I don't have problem to put him under pressure I think it should wait till the next day.
I do agree that todays decision should be between Bigger, Tasunke and commodore.

Huh? What do I care if they're a power role? I care if they're a wolf, or not. If they're a wolf and a power role, then I *want* them to bite it! And if I think it's going to be a mislynch, I don't want to mislynch any villager, not just try to minimize damage by mislynching someone weak.
The only reason I don't want to try Jkaen is that I don't think we can extract any information from him with only three hours left and him already near or past bedtime.
...well, and perhaps a bit of believing we've got likelier wolves already on the block.

I agree with Novice that the power roles between the wolf factions are likely to be the same for balance. So, is a big coincidence that we found a vowyer and a watcher? Maybe not.
Lynching Tasunke or Bigger could give us a bit info about that. If one is the Magenta-Werewolf Vowyer, it's likely that the one is the White-Wolf Vowyer. Having both a watcher and a vowyer in the village side seems a bit difficult...
