Probably. I'm just in this and PB5 (34V is, uh, pretty minimal time for me due to how things played out) since PBEM22 and PBEM32 are now done, and Duel League doesn't have much left so that'll be done before this picks up. I may do 1 update/day or something like that merging the two turns, we'll see.

Well, I've put almost no thought into what I'm going to target for traits/leaders/etc. I'm going to think about it, but I'm not going to kill myself thinking about it. Rules are pretty much just Inca/India banned, so something like Pacal is definitely allowed should I snag it. I'd kinda like to take something not quite as expected - something strong but not one of the "duh top-tier" things. Something like Hatshepsut would be a lot of fun - Cre/Spi is strong, but avoiding FIN and EXP would be interesting. Really doubt Cre/Spi normally would get taken in a 4-player NTT game. It'd probably force me to go for Pyramids and I've never realy run an SE, but it'd be an interesting way to play. Again, not going to kill myself here thinking of lots of permutations. It may depend on where I am in the pick order honestly. I'd really like to be last and just react to what everyone else takes.

I do think the trait I'd like to play with the most is SPI. I had it in PBEM14 and generally believe I did a terrible job of using it. I feel I've got a better idea of how to leverage it now, so I'd like to give that a try. That probably means I'll target Hatty, Isabella, or Mansa. I tend to want to avoid Mansa only because I played him in 14.
I may pick civ first if I get the top pick.

SPI I understand and certainly is works nicely with Pyramids (or rather, a specialist-based economy). But why CRE? FIN certainly can work with SPI, switching to short bursts of Pacifism, Caste to produce GP in your spec-cities while you run otherwise a cottage economy (PYramids not necessary of course in that case). EXP is also nice for the obvious reasons and in the case of SPI maybe even better because it supplements the trait, giving you some early game advantage which you probably need to make SPI work. Or rather to be in a position that the switching around with SPI is making enough of a difference that you are willing to really think it through instead of just using it as a nice bonus of not having Anarchy.
But besides those traits (which you might not want to take simply because you had enough of them) I still would ask why CRE? If you plan on Pyramids, IND / SPI is imo the better choice, especially if you can get SH (and therefore half-creative). PHI / SPI sounds also viable and stronger. The only thing I see going for CRE is that it benefits you early IF you are not able to land SH.
Oh, and lastly, I haven't checked, but isn't Seven playing in this game? If so, you NEED IND if you want a shot at the Pyramids imo
edit: Ah wait, I see, this is not the remake of PBEM32. Well, in that case and with that opponents, IND doesn't seem that necessary but still stronger than CRE imo - and still weaker than EXP or PHI. Heck, even ORG might be stronger depending on the map imo.

Funny, as you posted this I was adjusting my plans and scratching Hatty off my list. But no, Seven is not in this game. Anyways, if everyone goes for FIN I'll go Pyramids and see if I can leverage it properly. Never actually tried before.
Basically, SPI is the trait I want because I haven't really given it a fair shake and it's a fun trait. Thing is, I expect everyone else to go for FIN, and I don't really want to do straight Mansa again. So I'm going to assume I'll take SPI, and figure out what I want to pair it with. The two I was considering the strongest before you posted that was Exp/Spi and IND/SPI. Phi/Spi is 3rd in my head, but I'll probably avoid that one. Cre/Spi is just a bit too redundant.
Anyways, I think Isabella is stronger than Ramesses here. However, I can't think of a PBEM that's been played where someone here has taken Ramesses and played him well (or at least documented it), so there's some draw for me in that respect.
In terms of Civs, I like Egypt a lot for flexibility. War Chariots can be used to kill if I need to, they can be used to prevent dogpile if I need to, and they take forever to obsolete and are crazy cheap. Obelisks give me the option to get a shrine easily if I want, but I don't need to be bound by that necessarily. I'm avoiding Byz because I've done that and Rome because there's a reason Rome never wins. China would be nice just for their techs and because they're just generally solid. France would be fun because I can't think of anyone who's played an "early gunpowder + draftathon and go maim somebody" game, and SPI would be a nice way to do that.

Since you've already dismissed her I feel OK saying that Hatshepsut puzzles me every time she's picked. I feel that SPI and CRE are quite redundant with each other - CRE pops your borders, and if you're SPI you will want early religion + OR, and you'll pop your borders with missionaries (or later, with Caste artists). CRE gives you cheap libraries for easy access to scientists, and SPI gives you free Caste System stints for easy access to scientists. I just don't see the point of having both.
P.S. Isabella of Egypt seems solid enough to me.
