Injera, is this another one of those "deliberately dense" tells that Zak likes collecting?
Injera Wrote:You stated yesterday (in game days, a couple irl) you would vote to lynch Rowain for "information purposes." Do you not remember? Yes I remember, didn't I just answer this two posts ago? I want to see who votes for whom, with what reasons, when which other players are alternative lynch candidates, and what the alignments of as many as the involved players are. Injera Wrote:novice Wrote:I didn't know at the time that it would be a mislynch.Rowain wasn't mislynched. Wolves ate him. Easy to confuse... Excuse me for not getting my verb tenses correct. I didn't know at the time that it would have been a mislynch.
I have to run.

I want to see who votes for whom, with what reasons, when which other players are alternative lynch candidates, and what the alignments of as many as the involved players are. Sure, but why would you stake your vote on that? I think folks will read later today how panicked that response was a "two posts ago." I hate to say it a third time, but you specifically said you would be fine with lynching Rowain for information gathering. If you meant that honestly, there's something you can tell us beyond general platitudes of alignment and knowing who's whom. novice Wrote:Previewing: If JKaen and Zak can garner more support for a Rowain lynch, I'm still willing to consider it for information gathering purposes. What information were you trying to gather? Simply, was that an honest statement? Injera Wrote:Simply, was that an honest statement? Yes, if Zak and JKaen had garnered more support for a Rowain lynch, with Commodore a landslide candidate, I would have been willing to lynch Rowain for information purposes - to find out Rowain's alignment and draw deductions from it. Yesterday I wanted to lynch Commodore but I didn't want to completely discourage discussing other candidates.
I have to run.
Jkaen Wrote:Oh, my vote stays firmly on Commodore, for the reason that I believe I was the first to propose, which was I don't believe anybody has no powers at all in this gameWhat I don't get is how you can be so sure about this, when lots of players have yet to comment on Commodore's claim at all? Smells like out-of-thread knowledge seeping through.
If you know what I mean.

What deductions could you draw from, specifically, a test of Rowain's alignment? That's all I'm asking. You were confident there was something there when he had two votes on him, what did you see?
Injera, you have the following personal ability:
Woodpecker - Once per day you may adopt a curious stance and repeatedly hammer the same point over and over again.

Tasunke Wrote:So today, by the end of this day I would like for us to agree on whom I should watch for the night. I very much would not like us to do this. Is this not just saying "hey wolves, don't kill this guy!"? Now, I can see using this as a protective measure might make sense in some ways, and if we had a confirmed villager it might be worth it (not convinced tho) ... but in this situation, all we do is let the wolves know how to hide from you. (And if you're a wolf yourself it lets you nicely off the hook.) Choose your own target, be prepared to tell us why that one afterwards ![]() Commodore Wrote:Apparently NH enjoys being cruel, although given the weakness of that last role being vanilla doesn't seem very much worse, I guess. Tasunke, are you sure you have the limitation on your watches? Or did you watch me and find a disappointing lack of fangs? Damn shame about Bigger being legit and dead...voyeurizing would have helped. Both your points here seem off to me. Firstly - a terribly weak power like Rowain's seems to make it less likely that you're vanilla village rather than more, it's not like we've got a few powerful roles and a bunch of powerless people. Everyone dead so far has had something, which is either inherently weak or limited in some fashion (Rowain seems to me to've "won" the role lottery so far with something both very weak and very limited ![]() Secondly - if Tasunke had watched you he would've seen if anyone else had come to see you, that's what he's saying his role does. Why would that tell us anything about your wolfishness or otherwise? Obviously your point is that wolfy-Tasunke wouldn't tell us if you were innocent; but you don't even really vote for him so I don't think you even remotely believe yourself here. I'm more inclined to believe Tasunke about his limitation, whether village or wolf he's got nothing to gain by saying something so specific about not being able to watch someone last night. I don't think it helps us decide whether he's village or wolf though. The power seems a useful one for both sides, either to hunt wolves by chancing on the right nightkill target, or to get a heads up on scry-type targets by checking out his wolfy buddies. I'm still pretty suspicious of Commodore, and I don't think he's helping us or himself very much with his posts. Certainly I'd expect less illogic from the Commodore whose PBEM/PB threads I read (I mean, he's King of Pithy One-liners that sum up a person or a situation in a witty fashion). However, I'm willing to wait & see if anyone else comes out of the woodwork to say they're a vanilla villager - there's hours yet before the lynch ![]() And one thing in that post of Commodore's that I did agree with is where his vote ended up. Molach are you going to come out & play? Wolf Molach in a previous game was too too terribly busy to join in, and Molach this game has showed up about enough to avoid a mod-kill. His posts aren't one-liners, certainly, but there's quite a bit about "haven't had a chance to read the thread properly" coupled with "oh if I was wolf this time I'd never act like I did before". Which smacks of "a wolf would never do that".
...wounding her only makes her more dangerous!
