Hey Pling I'm ready to play. Been reading a bit more than posting, I find it pretty convenient to read from my smartphone, but typing more than yes, no or mabye is too inconvenient.
Some things.
Jkaen. For a good WW player, I'm not impressed with his reasoning for lynching commodore today. Because he is vanilla villager. Uberfish games had typically everyone with a role, but not convinced that still holds true in a He game. And I'm not sure we have enough mislynches available to 'check out game mechanics' or info about the setup. What about other points against commodore?
Commodore. Inexperienced, made people suspicious day 1 and had a 50% (?) chance of being lynched yesterday. One posts did bother me a bit, that "Prepare to be shocked" after Jkaens "I'll be shocked if he is vanilla". It felt real, it came 3-4 minutes after J's post so it was not up for discussion anywhere. It seemed like something a village player would say, meaning "now look here idiot villagers and see what you done'. Remember there are wolves voting for lynches as well, so don't give up. Write something useful for us when you are proven villager. How do you feel about...etc. You have posted against me, mostly for inactivity. Lynching inactive players is not that bad for villagers, as we do not want sleepers in the endgame against highly motivated wolves, but do is there more? Wolf tells in what I've written? I think a wolf would be more active at first, and seemingly more helpful, and then taper off towards the end, where it really matters.
Another thing against Commodore is that we would not learn much from a mislynch now - I mean, if he is in fact village then everyone except (then-afk) Gaspar voted for two villagers
Zakalwe. In memory of Bigger, as Bigger was after Zakalwe yesterday, which was because MNG's first (random?) vote against him might mean something more. Then Zakalwe concludes "Bigger must be a pack-mate of MNG" (505) based on the idea that MNG the wolf switched to Bigger, bad wolf play buying cover for pack mate. Well it is possible, but MUST be? That vote also came at just the right time to start the lynch-wagon rolling. Zak also just now made a joke. So for now I'll remain wary of him.
Pling. I'm leaning village here. Seems sincere in what's posted so far, felt right and truthful. Also Bigger felt so. And I agree with what she said about how Tasunke should use his power, at his own discretion.
Lewwyn. "I'm glad we got to test out the random lynch mechanic". Why? How helpful is it to know that the
Grease Monkey did it? I'm echoing some folks, but I felt it stupid to actively pursue a tie. What if a packmember had tiebreaking ability, for one. Your reasons was for fun, and to see if anyone tried to save anyone - yet you wrote that before the lynch, discouraging any late votechanging anyway. We would want people to actually commit, make a stand so we later can use voting pattern to nail em. What if commodore is a wolf? Mabye one would have switched to bigger to save him otherwise. Mabye they just said a few prayers and took the 50% chance of mislynch, leaving us with no clues. Mabye they forced the tie somehow. So in my view, either honest mistake or deliberate.
Tasunke. There is stuff pointing both ways. I do not particularily like the gut feel from posts. It was very convenient from a wolf-pov that the power was "every other night" and not limited in number of uses. I would be more suspicious about that 'every other night' as I've never seen that before, but since two werewolf packs only seem to kill alternate nights it may be plausible. I've (just now) seen examples of power roles limited to every other night as well. Still think it would be a bad idea to lynch him today, we should rather see who he watches. Also think it's a worse idea for him to state his target, even at 23:59. Wolves might just camp the thread and have a PM ready to go with an 'alternate' attack target pre-written, and see who he chooses. One thing which has me leaning toward villager, is that his reveal came at a non-optimal point in the day (wasn't around for it, but people have said so). And he assumed it would prove his innocence. Not sure he would do or think that if he had some packmates to think it over with. Anyway, after the reveal I was convinced he was innocent, because I think we do not have all random roles like last couple games, and watcher is a typical town role. However, second wolf pack does mean that wolf watcher is plausible. And it would fit - you can watch every other night [the night your pack is not killing someone]. If there is a village watcher, he will know as close to 100% as possible that Tasunke is a wolf, so would he not claim and condemn Tasunke? Does that mean no village watcher? Or is our hypothetical watcher waiting it out, to do some useful watching. Untimely death not a worry, as his role would be revealed then.
Tasunke was also MNG's final fall guy, so I'd think he was probably not in same pack, which should cut down odds of him being wolf.
Serdoa. I'm a bit worried about his alliance with Commodore. They seem to be in bed together:
Serdoa Wrote:[i] Go to sleep with a clear front-runner Commodore
but otherwise reading very 'pushy' to me. Pushy villager, hopefully.
I'll happily plod along with the wagon and vote
Jkaen for now, but not done thinking for this day (game-day that is).
