pindicator Wrote:Again, I'm trying to understand you Ichabod. You think we should lynch Commodore because there's a good chance he is lying about his role, and that you suspect that role is the same as a known wolf role. Either announcer or as wolf tracker. Why don't you just say you want to lynch the guy you know is the wolf tracker, Tasunke? That makes no sense!
I've been torn on Ichabod all game, as has been stated he's playing a bit like he did in WW7. That being said, his idea isn't non-sensical:
1) At this point, it's not unreasonable to assume Commodore lied about his role, most likely because he's a wolf. (If he has a strong village power role, which I don't think exist in this game, he would have claimed yesterday.)
2) It's possible he did this because both he and Tasunke are wolf trackers, which would indict both if he had claimed that power. He couldn't make another one up in time on the spot so just claimed vanilla villager.
So, if theory 2) is correct then they're both probably wolves, and it wouldn't matter which one got lynched. If the theory is false (Tasunke is a village tracker) then Commodore is still probably lying about being a vanilla villager.
Crucially, the only way Ichabod would go for Tasunke first would be if he was absolutely certain Commodore claimed vanilla to not make trouble for himself and Tasunke. But Ichabod is too smart to think he's certain about anything in a WW game, I think. So it makes sense to hit Commodore, which would be equal if the theory is correct and a better vote if it's false.

Well, wanted to explain exactly what Injera explained right now. I don't trust Ichabod (his posts ARE confusing) but the idea itself that if we kill Commodore and he is a wolf watcher we kill next Tasunke, assuming he is one too makes sense (somehow). And if he is the announcer, well then we have to reevaluate on Tasunke maybe.

Injera, Serdoa - I think you're both spot on. Commodore has likely lied; it's been over 48 hours sense he posted his no-role claim here. Nobody else has come forward. I'm like 95% sure he's lied.
And Ichabod makes sense from that standpoint. We go after Commodore first, we can verify Tasunke.
But it's the double standard with Tasunke that has my wolf radar beeping like mad again. He didn't say he should lynch both of them until Post #804. Before that he was trying to say that it made sense to lynch Commodore and Tasunke was being framed. He's caught his mistake by 804 and he's trying to soften it over, and also distance himself.

What I mean is that these ideas are not incompatable
Ichabod could want to save Tasunke and kill Commodore. And they all could be wolves. That's because, like Ichabod said, we likely have 2 packs.
Oh, and Ichabod didn't actually say "let's lynch both of them" until people started voting for him. Just noticed that little detail. Mardoc votes him 790. Sareln votes him 803. Ichabod first says to lynch both of them on 804. Of course, people are on to him. Gotta drop the dead weight.

One of the reasons I've been suspecting Ichabod is how he brushed off Pindicator's arguments as "tunnel vision" and "personal vendetta".

"If you keep twisting everything to make a case against the person you suspect on the sole account of him voting for you on day 1, you're going for a very hard lesson when I'm lynched and revealed to be a villager. But if you are a wolf, you're going down after mislynching me. Unfortunately for you, lynching me is a bad/bad situation."
"Pindicator is revenge voting me, not the other way around."

You think I'm a wolf, which I'm not, and you are molding every one of my posts to what you have already decided.
Actually reminds me a lot of wolf scooter from previous games, where he often used the same argument against me.

Pindicators accusation was that Ichabod tried to deflect attention on him, after MNG was starting to get votes. http://realmsbeyond.net/forums/showthrea...post241223
He actually has valid points in here. The battle continues later: http://realmsbeyond.net/forums/showthrea...post241625
Still not seeing the personal vendetta from pindicators part. Here is Ichabod's defense regarding MNG, http://realmsbeyond.net/forums/showthrea...post242035
Well, Ichabod explained the sound of his posts by having hard time in irl, so I let it rest. But what surprises me is that in his latest posts he is once again bringing up the point, http://realmsbeyond.net/forums/showthrea...post243367
"What are you looking for, mardoc? The best way to interpret my posts in a suspicious manner? It's just like what Pindicator was doing before."
And that is enough for me to change my vote from [strike]Jkaen[/strike] to Ichabod. I think he is playing a bit more careless wolf than before, but the biggest complaint I remember from his perfect wolf game is that it was way to stressful / time confusing = not fun to play. This confused play must be quite much more fun.

Reminds me of villager scooter too, who had to make the same point repeatedly.
I really don't see any case against Ichabod. He was pinging on my scumdar on day 1 but after that he's apparently recovered from his issues and made a good comeback. Now he feels like the perceptive villager Ichabod from previous games, and is contributing valuable new content.
I can't find the right word to describe it but it's mystifying me that Ichabod drives another nail into both Tasunke's and Commodore's coffins, and everybody reacts by jumping Ichabod.
I have to run.
