Cool, we got another one. Now it gets harder, of course.

I don't think I follow your reasoning, Ichabod? I have a every-other night limit on my power, therefore it's a wolf power? I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that you want me dead, it's mutual smile.

lol

You started voting for me right after I mistakingly said Commodore was the tracker while meaning watcher, Mardoc. Now it makes sense to me about why you did that. It indeed make sense as a wolf play.

That's why you are suspicious. Your already claimed limitation is just icing on the cake.

Notice that cute first vote of the day on me by Mardoc. Everyone, go read the context of that:

1. I made some posts trying hard to make a contribution. A lot of people liked those posts. But I mistakingly said Commodore could be the tracker, when I meant watcher. I mix things up.

2. Novice and Mardoc noticed that and called me on it.

3. I explained that I mix the two roles (a lot of people seem to do that). Novice was satisfyed by my explanation and so was everybody else.

4. Mardoc voted for me with flimsy justification (he even got called by novice on that - later he made a big case against me). It was the first vote against me on that day, that was mainly being divided between Tasunke, Commodore and Jkaen.

Now here's what I think. Mardoc, a wolf, thought that I made a wolf slip by calling Commodore a tracker instead of a watcher. But the only way he could see that as a wolf slip is if he's a wolf himself, who knows the wolf packs have trackers. It would make sense seeing that he started fiercely attacking me after that, based on a flimsy justification.

A lot to digest and a busy weekend looming. I'll have to look closer at all three days, really, but my first instincts here are pretty straightforward - look at people resisting or trying to distract from a Commodore lynch.

Zakalwe (Bigger crusade) and Gaspar (preferred Tasunke) come to mind here (probably just because they're players I notice), but I'm sure a reread will reveal others too. Mardoc and Pindicator also had some unwarranted attacks, at least on Ichabod. And Meiz pursued JKaen I think? Or was that Mardoc too? Serdoa wanted to lynch the usual suspects since we were being railroaded. Actually, an executive summary of what went down the first three days would be much appreciated. smile

As for the tracker/watcher thing, Ichabod's arguing that Mardoc is a white wolf who picked up on it. In which case he wouldn't mind lynching Commodore, so the two cases against Mardoc are both suspicious but can't really be aggregated into one, if that makes sense.
I have to run.

novice, I think I crusaded harder for Bigger than zakalwe tbh. And I also wanted to discuss other suspects because I was (and still am) not feeling comfortable after the mislynch of Bigger which I attributed to my crusading against him. Though I think Commodore made a pretty clear case and tbh, I'd rather look at who switched on Day 2 shortly before deadline to Bigger. You remember how I commented on that lynch? Because it was crazy looking at the timing. I am normally awake till 23:00, lynch time is 01:00. In those 2 hours we had suddenly 4 players switching to Bigger (Mardoc, pindicator, Lewwyn, Sareln). Just 2 hours before deadline I've gone to sleep being certain that Commodore would be lynched and I would have to take another day with Bigger. But surprise, surprise, instead I came back to see Bigger lynched. All of a sudden, after we started to discuss his case with 26 hours left on the clock and it didn't get traction.

Have they all just suddenly came to the conclusion to switch? Right at a time when it was obvious that most of Europe is asleep and America at work still / coming home right now? Yes I have crusaded for Bigger as well, I don't see it as damning that they voted for him, after all, I made the case. But that timing is certainly... convenient. Are they all wolves? I am pretty certain no. But could one of them be a wolf? Yes, I think there is a good chance for that.

Yeah I would agree with that, Serdoa.

At the risk of being yelled at some more, I would like to add Gaspar to the list of suspicious day 2 voters for voting Tasunke shortly before the deadline with no chance of him hanging. Especially given how sensitive he was when prodded about it.

I also find Lewwyn's infatuation with the tie to be weird, but it's probably in character for him to do something like that. I do think that a tie could be a very convenient wolf cover, especially given how likely Commodore was to hang on the following day (no biggie if he dies, not worth it to put a lot of effort into saving him).

Well, that tie was surely a great method to get another vote onto Bigger without looking to suspicious. Or at least one with a simple explanation attached "I wanted to see how the tie works". Not that that makes sense if one read the rules - but it appears the rules weren't read by all that many players anyway, looking at all that discussion about the wolf-packs, when they can nightkill etc.

Btw: Do we have right now any more players stating they have a power which can be used only every other night or is it only Mardoc and Tasunke? Because from a balance standpoint it really makes not much sense that the village would have such a limitation (due to always targeting the same pack). I do think the village limitations are more in the vain of "only as long as x amount of players is still alive", while the wolf limitations are "every other night".

I am not certain (I am work, so I don't think that all 100% through) but could we not just all tell our limitation? Not the role attached, just the limitation. And not explicitly (11 players must be alive) but just "depending on player number" or "have to at least have 1 day/night in between (because surely not all powers our night powers). I'm not sure if we would give much away to the wolves when we do that. What do others think?

Oh, lastly, I was wondering why Mardoc would tell us if this is really a limitation of the wolves. But maybe he did to tell Tasunke "I'm your wolf-buddy?". Or maybe I am simply crazy, because MNG didn't have a "every other night" limitation but simply a number of times limitation.

Ok, I let those paragraphs stand, despite it making not much sense, just so someone else might be helped by it when he thinks about that stuff.
Reply

I would strongly caution against using every-other-night as evidence of guilt, at least given our current knowledge. It's likely we can use it later. Question is how much information we hand over to the wolves by making these claims. I'm not unwilling to make this claim given the nature of my role, but I can see how it might out certain roles and give wolves clues on who to kill.
