Quote:But do we really get to tick off ANOTHER AGGRESSIVE neighbor?
FTFY. At least he's AGG/CRE so he has less of an incentive to build his cheap barrackses (barracksi? )
I landed the settler and spear on the same tile that Yuri's spear is on. I will probably be heading to bed shortly, so if you're around, I think it would behoove us to play the turn as soon as we can once it rolls. Scooter is the only one left to play, so since we did not end turn last, I think we have no limitations on when we can play the new turn.
Diplomatically speaking, I was thinking that our best shot would be to offer Yuri either corn/fish for free, or corn/fish for horse. Trying to signify that we just need to settle this for horse.
I mean he's not going to like it one bit. The only thing we have going for us (maybe) is that Yuri does not have the reputation of being a particularly aggressive (little-A) player. Right? I mean it's not like we're settling up on Krill here

I whipped the galley in CJ for 2 reasons
1) I think we use that to ferry an archer or two over to Wayne's World
b) I think we said that we wanted More Cowbell to get Christianity, right (if we could pick), so I'm growing it to size 5, and wanted to keep CJ lower in pop

Regoarrarring up the thread ..... I also put Blues Brothers 7h into an axe, so we can single whip it if we need to. Commodore has a galley underneath our galley up there, and while we do have 6t left on our peace deal with him, I think it's wise to have that as a backup policy.
That city is going to be a beast in ~10t. At size 6 (current happy cap), it can work the fish, plains cow, copper mine, PHM, and 2 GHM, for +1 food and 20hpt!!

So i'm visiting family right now, but if you think settling for that is a bad idea then let's just plant by the spice. But maybe yuri will pity us and leave us to our horses

Well here goes nothing
Conveniently, his spearman was teleported down to the southwest. The whipped galley out of CJ has one archer on board, and I think that it makes sense to pick up the garrison of OTOF too. 2 archers, a spear and an axe, on a hill is going to hold out against (just about) anything that Yuri sends our way pre-Catapults.
And actually, as it stands now, he doesn't even know what the garrison is (though if he moves 1E onto the plains tile he will see)
I did offer him corn and fish for horse, which I expect him to decline (especially since he'll see the diplo popup before he sees we planted a city there (remember last time he logged in he could not even see our galley or settler).
PS Azza has an additional 2 gold available for trade, meaning the man has *3* gold resources hooked up

Yuri posted in his thread for the first time in forever (he has 17 total posts). He also didn't end turn when he played.
Doesn't sound good....

Heh - I almost went and looked at his thread and spoiled myself - forgot for a sec that I was dedicated here.
Without Diplo, its kind of hard to make a case for that move - you can't even try to tell him you were simply demonstrating the magic of teleportation your civ had discovered.
