No pics - I got my 2nd prophet, so I settled him - 2 hammers and 5 GPT is probably better than picking up theology, especially as I have other priorities - and Serdoa has shown up with Keshiks.

now, I suspect that he'll go elsewhere, at least, if I build up my defenses - I have tougher archers than the others and probably at least as good, if not better, cultural defense. My GUESS is that he goes for zero, since zero has the medieval UU... but I'm sure I irritated him, so he could easily go for me. Keshiks are annoyingly mobile, but they still die to spears and they are expensive...

So, some thoughts about this game:

Everyone has settled out (though, i think maybe Serdoa hasn't settled his 3rd city - not sure)

I believe that this is the phase where everyone turtles and techs (which is why i think I have an advantage, in that my turtle units are better and my tech is better - it would help if I stopped letting my opponents take my workers) I don't KNOW that I have an advantage, mind you, and if 2 opponents attack me at once, I'm going down - but then, if that happens to anyone, the same thing is true.

But without coordination, it's hard to make such an attack.

Serdoa is going after TT, which is fine with me. I'm researching HBR now, and may send some units down on TT, too. We will see...

ok - have HBR and am revolting to judaism.

Next target is, I think, literature for the GLib/NE/HE, which might be unlocked by then.

Then Feudalism->Guilds and knights.

Happily going along building units now... Got HBR, so will build stables and better units.

Going to try to build HG - don't need the health, but the pop boost will be nice.

Also, first Med->priesthood before Aesthetics->Lit - nice little pop boost, plus priest specialists are good, too. Need to get MC, but that's after Lit, I think.

This needs some work, but to really get it, I need to be able to build workshops. That's coming. I'll almost certainly build a temple here, to get a priest specialist. Also, there will probably be a lot of whipping here The HA won't get completed until I can build a stable, but I'm waiting on a missionary to get me the 25% bonus before I do that



Current plan is to whip that aqueduct and overflow into HG. I might 2 pop-whip some units here (HA), to get overflow, as well. I am not sure.

Current tech plan is meditation->priesthood->aesthetics->literature. Then, I am not sure.

ok, I switched to get IW before aesthetics->lit.

After that, I'm not sure.

Construction gets me catapults and catapults are very useful.
Music gets me the great artist, plus sistine chapel, which is pretty useful.
Feudalism gets me LB, which are extremely useful.
Sailing->calendar can get me MoM, which would be very good, too.
CoL is ok - 2 courts would help my expenses some, plus caste system is very useful once I dump slavery.
Feudalism or CoL gets me to bureau, which is really important for this game.
MC->machinery gets me x-bows, which are nice, too.

Decisions, decisions.

I found iron (well, in the inter-turn, I find iron.) 1 source is directly under McHale's navy, giving me an extra hammer
there's another just outside the capitol's fat cross, where it can't be used. Zero has that one, though none of the others. it means that I could, conceivably, cut him off from cho-ko-nu. And serdoa off from knights. Which is interesting...

I seem to be 1st.. in... everything.

Serdoa clearly sacrificed his army against someone, as I'm all of a sudden #1 in soldiers, too.

I'm trying to get graphs back on everyone, of course.


I think my max research is better than anyone else's, and my crop/MFG advantage has to be because of my pop advantage - which leads to something I don't get:

ALL of these guys are charismatic. All of them. So why do I have the top city? And, in fact, I have another city that is sze 8.

I'm whipping in a temple in my mil city, mainly so I can have something better than a citizen there when we get big

5 turns to aesthetics, 4 to my next GP (which should be a scientist). 12 turns to HG, 18 to pyramids.

TT has catapults. Well, at least 1 catapult. Guess I know what happened to Serdoa's stack...

switched to currency. Why currency?

Well, it directly helps my research, of course, with the extra trade route. I can build wealth, which is nice.

More importantly, though, i can rush markets, which make me money. I'm running about 50% break even.

I'll get to lit later, but not THAT much later.
