A couple of questions...

Hi, since I am not a Diablo pro, I had some basic questions coming up:

1. Is there a decent resource out there which tells me in detail how the skills work? For example: I had to activate advanced tooltips to even see how much damage my Zombie Dogs do. Now I am still having trouble to find out how much life they have or if their life, armor and resistances scale with level or is a percentage of mine. I am also looking for a list of all gems and their values.

2. Are there any soulbond items in Diablo 3? I was shocked when I discovered that it seemed like I could sell a rare item I had already worn on the AH (yes, former WoW player wink )

3. Do I get any bonuses myself if I give my templar an item that "increases gold/orb pickup range by 4 yards" or is that a wasted stat ?

With D3 being released just a week ago there is prolly no complete bible to refer to but you can check out some information here: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/game

If an item is in any way "bound" it's stated inside that item's info screen.

Why should you benefit from something you gave to your follower? Also they can't pickup gold or orb's, so ... you know it wink
Arthur pulls tiles from the Scrabble bag which by random form into "What do you get when you multiply six by nine?"
Arthur: "Six by nine? 42?"
Ford: "I always knew there was something fundamentally wrong with the universe."

Hm, when I check my character screen and give me follower a shield with +5% gold find, the percentage of my character gold find changes by +1% ?!

Well you do get some bonuses. For example I believe you get 20% of the magic find of your follower. Which is interesting because technically that means you could get a higher MF rate running solo with your follower than running in a group where followers aren't allowed and the MF rate is averaged by number of players. Same for + to XP.

*edit* I guess the higher MF rate solo would be offset by having four loot 2-4 loot drops at once.

There's a few novelty items that are account bound, but that's it I believe.

There's a detailed stat screen, for you and your follower I think. My guess is that you get ~30% of his magic find/bonus XP/kill. I had my templar with an aweful level 12 weapon or something like that up to level 52 simply because it had a ton of bonus XP.

I have a question- If I attack something with a dot every second, but the dot lasts 3 seconds, am I losing 2 seconds of the dot, or do they stack?

I would imagine it works the exact same way as it does for WoW (doubt they reinvented the wheel for no reason) in that it will just reapply the debuff and not stack unless a skill specifically says it will stack.

Yeah, the duration basically resets itself if you do that. Things would be pretty insane if a skill like Locust Swarm could be reapplied. smile

Caltrops with the Jagged Spikes rune creates a placed continual damage AoE, and they do stack, so I wouldn't be entirely sure that DoTs don't. I could see it going either way.

On a Witch Doctor, our single target dot (Haunt) doesn't stack normally. However, if you have copies that are different strengths (say you case Haunt, then soul harvest for the int buff, then re-Haunt) they will stack. I've been assuming it's a bug, though, as theoretically you could swap int gear in an out and get a ton of them up at once.

Not sure how it works with some of the other spells, I'll check them out next time I play.
