Great play, Uberfish. Not only are you always a strong villager, you can even tune how likely you are to get night killed. The only reason I didn't kill you on night 1 is that I already did that in the last game we played together.
I have to run.

Selrahc Wrote:The way the wolf PM's have been worded kind of leads me to believe that the wolves only get one night kill each. Then that's their lot. Combined with hazards like the Silverbloods, and rewards like the turnables it looks like night kills are intended to play out quite weirdly in this game. And if my guess is right, from night 4 onwards we won't see any more kills.
EDIT: Ah. Misread it. It says "Each night the player may make a night kill" rather than "At night the player may make a night kill". Doh.
Heh, yeah the night kills won't stop, but you are right about the wording. I implemented a special mechanic within the packs that I think adds another element to both balance and forces the wolves to make interesting choices. But you'll find out soon enough.
Selrahc Wrote:I'm also thinking by now that my gambit was silly. It looks like there aren't any strong village power roles in play. The self sabotaging nature of the multi-wolf pack game, and the fairly powerful Silverbloods acting as the balancing force in favour of the village. I made the assumption that as a game with a lot of generic villagers, it would have some strong power roles that were worth protecting. That doesn't seem to be true right now...
I really am looking forward to hearing people's comments on the setup once its fully revealed. I looked through a lot of different mafia scum setups and I only found 1 that was even remotely similar, but even then mine is very different.

BTW I am loving Ichabod's intensity right now. He's going crazy with ideas and possible wolf tells:
So funny.
It's making me think he is a wolf. The certainty behind his thought that Waterbats pack knew about recruitables makes me think that he is part of the wolf pack that knew about recruitables...

While you're on that subject, anything you can share on the rationale behind killing me? Did you break the code?

Aww. Too bad you didn't, we would have had a (unbreakable?) record of 4 deaths first night. Blood indeed.
Lewwyn, how will you decide tied votes (either mayor vote, or if mayor is not voting for one of tied players for lynch)? Randomly?
And hilarious possibility - what if tall pack and short pack targets the sleeper same night? Random roll to see who goes first, then he is first turned into a wolf, but then killed as a wolf by rival pack...yeah I think there is a sleeper still in the game. Mabye Injera or Bigger. Since he is a villager right now, it wouldn't be horrible play to play badly and get mislynched, somehow. At least if it looks like village is winning.
And mabye wolves must kill in succession, can't kill again until your other packmates have made a kill. Makes sense because they all need to feed, right. Ravenous werewolves and that.

How would you explain Selrahc's night kill without knowing about sleepers?
Maybe he posted an encrypted message saying he was a seer?

Lewwyn Wrote:Well when you see the full setup maybe you can make a final determination, but personally, I think its fairly balanced. Also not letting the players know makes it a bastard role and I didn't want to do that to the village. The silverblood could also have been unknown to the villager since technically they don't need to know about it. I actually did not post the full Role PM. There is a section for both of these roles outlining not to roleclaim this role or be stripped of your powers (in the case of silverblood) or modkilled (in the case of sleepers).
Heh, the issue is I have no idea how the endgame will play out. In the end it really depends on the players.
Hmm. I had been considering doing a partial role claim. I was going to say that I was a villager role with a twist, but Lewwyn was evil and made it so that I couldn't demonstrate or give any more detail without something bad happenning. I wondered what the village would make of that. Now that I know there are several others with similar clauses it would have been a lot more interesting.
I didn't do that because I didn't want to see scooter lynched at the end and there were no other targets. I figured the village wouldn't accept that and skill me anyway and find out soon enough.

@novice: welcome fellow beta wolf!
@molach: there was at a possibility of more than 4 deaths on night 1
@selrahc: i love getting some posthumous attention in the game thread
That was my first ever post in WW. I was trying to be helpful to the village and blindly stumbled onto a key piece of llewyn's setup. When everyone ignored me ( including my pack mates), I gave it up.
our pack wasn't informed of sleepers, but we did know about them at the time of my demise. I'm with you: it makes sense that the other pack knew of them.
@llewyn: you are a bastard I can't believe we saw 3 kills again.
