Is just entering beta, And is this the new Master of Orion 2 that Realms Beyond has been looking for? I think it is.
Does any else here play and have plans for this?

Never played MoO2 so I can't answer that, but I certainly enjoyed this game, even in its alpha-stage. We even have a thread about it (in Civ General)

Picked it up Last week and have been having a blast trying to figure out all of the concepts, gameplay and strategies.

Seems to largely be a MoO2 and GalCiv mash up.

This game looked very promising back during the alpha phase. I will have to find some time to check it out again now that it is in a more finished state.
