What a lively lurker thread.
Rowain - before you deliver any more rants about how you played the perfect game, and my pack only had ourselves to blame for our mistakes, just keep in mind that I was pretending to be a villager framed by a wolf. I'm not actually upset with you, and I think you played very well (as usual).
It's funny to look at some of the things that were said in the game thread, about how Rowain wouldn't go after me unless he was 100% sure, and then compare it to the reality in this thread.
I think Rowain made a daring and fairly inspired play there, even if it may have been a little premature, since we weren't actually planning to hit him with a claim. I also agree that I may have been better off with a vanilla rather than silverblood claim, but I don't think it's a clear-cut thing. The silverblood claim made me a high-priority lynch target, which is useful when you're pretending to be the victim of a conspiracy. (Which I actually was. )
Anyway, I see what Lewwyn is saying about how you weren't supposed to claim any power roles, but Rowain was the one to pull the trigger, not me. So I feel like I'm entitled to point out the unfun aspects of that. This kind of nuclear war really seems inevitable with so many factions fighting to be the last man standing. Also, I sympathize 100% with Ichabod about how boring it must be to play as a villager when there is a new claim to be tested every single day.
That said, I do think Lewwyn did a great job both with the writeups and the initial setup here; it was very creative and novel, and I was happy to get a very interesting role. The issue of mass seer claims could probably be addressed somehow, for example by forbidding seer claims, but the prisoner's dilemma issue could not. Or rather, I think it should be acknowledged that a multi-pack setup is a prisoner's dilemma. (Oops, there I go again, suspiciously bolding a filler word. ) I've been having a hard time to adapt to that reality in the past two games. Next time I play as a wolf, I'm hoping it will be in a one-pack game, because overall I find that format more enjoyable, as a wolf. I like having the full picture and focusing 100% on deception and manipulation.
It will be interesting for sure to watch the end-game here. The tall alpha should have the upper hand since he managed to dodge the nuclear exchange so far, but I could also see the wolves self-destruct, leading to a village win.
If you know what I mean.

Rowain:
It's pretty regular what you are saying but the way you are saying it is very funny. You sound like a supervillain.
Anyway scooter made a mistake. He should have posted that just before night over. Now bigger will know he is screwed and try and just hurt the village as much as possible. He scooter waited bigger may have tryed to kill other wolf or do something silly like not night kill to use his alpha powers.
Edit: Cross-posted with zak.

I haven't read the spoilers going on in this thread, but seeing another sleeper makes me think this setup is really anti-village (not particullarly on chances to win, more on having fun/chances to decide the outcome). Seriously, I could have stayed all game not saying a word and it wouldn't matter for the game's outcome. The only way for the village to win is if the wolves kill each other. That's really not fun. It's just random and random is boring (random for the village, because the wolf thinking is something I can't influence, ergo similar to random).
I dont agree with the "village vs. short vs. fat vs. tall argument". The village is just playing a low supporting role. All the fun is with the wolves. Seriously, 6 wolves, with a possibilty of 8? 3 night kills per day? How on earth could the village win this, if not by waiting for the results of a completely different game that's being played in the same thread, by coincidence.
I'm glad I'm already dead. I would feel very bad about spamming the thread with "KILL INJERA!" knowing that there's 10 claims that need to be lynched first. I don't think most of the players are even reading the thread anymore...
Seriously, this game seems like the wolves are playing a soccer match and the village wins if the game ends tied. All we can do is cheer for the wolves to kill themselves. And they appear to be pretty useless at that, unfortunately...

And if you want confirmation of my thoughts above, just take a look at this thread. All discussion is in spoilers about wolf play... Anything about villager play in the last 15 pages? Any thoughts about who is guilty besides all the power claims?

Hmmmmm. No, now I think it's perfectly possible they killed zak n1, since it explains the missing action. If novice hit my alpha instead, there would have certainly been some sign of that.

Zak I think you played it well. Thing is there is no defense against an irrational (suicidal) attack. It is Biggers move that I critisize.

yes that worked as intended

I didn't fear a claim. In fact I didn't know you were a wolf nor did I know about Bigger. It was simple to avoid a day with an (for me) unwinnable debate with you and take you with me. Had it worked perfectly (= you lynched and revealed as alpha-wolf) I would dedicate this play to Gaspar

MNG and Sareln have after day 4 still less posts than waterbat who died on night 1

Interwolf-fights should wait till the food is gone.

Tall alpha is well hidden but he is still a single wolf which means he must wittle the village down to 1 villager and thats damned hard to do.

Yes waterbat you get a cigar . They did recruit zak on night 1. On night 2 their beta (novice) died on uberfish so no chance for recruitment and on day 3 he was already a wolf.

ichabod: as far as the wolves killing themselves, we guessed the other alphas would be immune, so in the early game, hunting wolves didn't seem to productive. Thats one reason we didn't kill you N1 - we thought you were a wolf and might be alpha
Late game with all the claims to test that don't involve the pack, it does seem easy to coast through it and kill villagers too. Maybe The wolves who eat the least silver should win!
