Hydra damage scales with AS and with the life on kill bug/gameplay with casting a new hydra and killing the three heads of the old one. Hydra #1.
Any other Wizards out there?

Right now I'm using Electrocute + disintegrate (L and R click), with wormhole teleport, crystal shell diamond skin, force weapon magic weapon, energy armor (been toying around with runes for that spell). Normally I use arcane orb for my R click, but its far easier to kill bugs in act two with disintegrate, since it instantly hits them. Arcane orb is massively better then disintegrate though when you're kiting stuff around in my experience.
When I'm in a group with a melee character I usually go with a much more glass cannon loadout. Solo I've really liked the temporal flux passive, it makes it possible to kite even the fast mobs. With that and blur I'm usually okay to kite stuff with out constantly dieing. One thing I've been toying with is just taking out shock pulse and using the extra spell space for another dps increasing ability, maybe venom hydra or sparkflint familier.
Hydra is simply a must have for me since more often then not I'm playing at yellow level latency.
“The wind went mute and the trees in the forest stood still. It was time for the last tale.”
Hydra is interesting because it's each head that does the % weapon damage. Especially when you're forced to cap arcane energy because your kiting I think it's really good.
However assuming the sparkflint still does the 20% weapon hit every time you cast I don't think hydra is better when you're able to cast stuff, as the sparkflit hits just as often as the hydra does, as well as doing and extra 12% damage that can be hitting multiple people.
Here's a fun build to try:
http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/wi...dYf!YcaYcb Basically, you use Mirror Mimics so that the Wave of Force your images cast knockbacks/stuns. Their AI usually casts it when an enemy gets close. At least in Inferno, any hit you take will activate Illusionist, so you will have high usage of Calamity Teleport and Mirror Images. It hardly worked in A2 inferno, but then again, my Wizard can barely do A2 with a cookie-cutter build. Even then, it was a blast to play, and just shows how creative you can get with builds. There is room for variation, Force Armor isn't necessary before A2 Inferno, Arcane Orb can be anything, and Galvanizing Ward goes if you don't use an armor spell.
Eomin II has hit a hard wall.
Diablo fight in nightmare. Specifically the shadow fight part. With a measly regeneration of 33HP/sec for a 18k HP pool and only having 4.5k HP potions she can't get through that part. I'm afraid I'll have to go through ActIII again and hope to get some new items that don't lower INT (705) /VIT (17889 HP)/DPS (1936) too much whilst adding some much needed regeneration to the build. I never realized I was relying so much on the Templar for regeneration... Oh well, at least it's the fun part of the game. Pingu Wrote:Eomin II has hit a hard wall. Try Galvanizing Ward if you haven't already, that and Diamond Skin should help you last through the shadow phase. If you use Hydra, just let it kill the shadow for you and dodge it's spells.
Your stats should be fine for NM diablo. Regen is not necessary. You can teleport away and kill the clones at long range with a hydra, and then it's down to dodging the cage attack and fireballs. I find that Shadow Diablo also doesn't teleport as much if you fight in the centre or top area of the arena as opposed to the bottom where you start.
The diablo fight is about knowing when he's probably going to do abilities. He has a set rotation he goes through, if you do things right, and use diamond armor at the right times you'll be okay.
I really would try not to rely too much on HP regen, it'd be extraordinarily difficulty to get that to the level where it'd make a significant difference since HP scales so much with your level.
Sorcies, if they choose to, have it easy with bosses that don't charge kill you. Just put up a plague hydra and concentrate on keeping yourself safe. As big D (and shadows) goes, he is only dangerous when you are trapped and he picks you up for an inspection. Watch black spots appearing on the ground and run when you see them and you should never have D looking under your skirt. The two health pools is your life line, don't be cheap to use them, they will refill often enough.
