Both Dave and Ichabod have kindly offered to play the turn for me but both are spoiled. As such, I will put the micro here so that folk can see there is nothing naughty occuring.

As a plus point, you guys actually get a post from me... :neenernee

Worker and agriculture complete in four turns. Worker is to move 1NW and begin farming for 1 turn. Please cancel the action before hitting end turn.

The next turn, the worker is to move 1W and farm the wheat until completion. This will take 7 turns to complete and may well be enough until the end of your set.

If not, the workers next move is to move 1E and repeat the trick from earlier. Please put one more turn of farming into the floodplain and cancel again.

The worker is then to move 1NE and begin building a plantation on the silk. This should complete your set.

Techwise: Agriculture, Calendar, Ancient Chants.

Build order: After worker, build a warrior whilst growing on floodplains. Once size 2, please work the wheat and floodplains. The plan is to build warriors whilst maximising growth. Once the capital is size 3, begin building a settler whilst working the wheat, floodplains and silks.

The western scout is to head generally north, trying his utmost to end turn on defensive terrain. If you see a hut, grab it. If you see any barrow or ruin, try and pop it. Avoid any dungeons or any dungeons that would take time to explore. We want to try and maximise the grabbing of huts.

The eastern scout is to explore the little peninsula that he is on and see how far it goes. Failing that, head north. The other directions are the same as above.

A stupid strenght 3 goblin with combat 2 promotion decided to pester our capital. He's at only 2.8 strenght, but it's still very annoying. If he enters our borders, the worker micro will be messed up, unless we make a risky play.

Guess this is the part where I cry for Kyan's help and hope he comes back soon. lol

Well, for some unknown reason the goblin moved AND healed himself in between turns. I don't how that happened, but, it did. Anyway:

The damn thing could have moved 1N of its current position last turn. That'd have been very annoying, since it'd mean lost worker turns.

I moved the warrior to the Wine tile.

Here's my reasoning:

*If the goblin attacks, the river crossing cancels its combat 2 promo. So, we'd have good odds due to forest defense bonus.

*Even if the goblin wins, we could counter attack with the scout, if possible. If not possible, we can finish another warrior by working the wheat instead of fp next turn (while still growing to size 2 in 2 turns). Losing worker turns would be unavoidable, though.

*If the goblin moves 1N, we can cover the worker next turn with scout + warrior -> finish another warrior the following turn.

So, while this is annoying, we still haven't lost anything other than scouting turns. I think we have the bases covered to not lose any growth potential (which is more important). Hopefully the damn thing suicides against the warrior or move 1E. We'll see...

All barbs have march.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.

Well, the barb made a "reasonable" move.

I moved the warrior to defend the capital. I think we have a 60% combat bonus against his 40%. Let's hope for some luck here.

I'm pretty sure the barb won't move 1N, which would be really annoying.

You made the exact same moves as I would have done mate. Thanks a lot.

It's worth noting that his double promo means he's killed something. I assume the scout of a neighbour which is actually good news in one respect as i'd prefer if nobody knew where we are for as long as possible.

Didn't the goblin kill your second scout? The first save I played had only one scout (the eastern one).

I'm going back to lurker mode now. But I want to know if the damn goblin died, after all.

This chappy killed him:

He moved onto front ground. We had two warriors and a scout so I went for it. First warrior won and got enough xp for two promo's which will be very nice for dealing with the barbarians.

Yeah! That's the best possible result. Not only no worker turns were lost, but you got an anti-barb unit very soon. thumbsup
