A quick update:
Popped the hut for... minerals. Damn! Useless for a long long time. No food there until I can get Unity Hydroponics built.
Turns out I had some barbs nearby, so I switched from the 3/0/0 DNA to the 1/3/0 rocky minerals. I could still grow at EoT. That way, I could attack spore launcher for the 3-2 advantage, instead of the other way around. Luckily, the spore launcher moved away.
Hahaha what the hell why the fuck do I have 2 gold maintenance?

UN bureaucracy strikes again, you can't escape from it even on Alpha Centauri?

And as quickly as it came, the city maintenance disappeared.

Wait a second, is that a hut 4477 of my capital?
Damn it I better grab that soon, before someone else steals it. Or before a worm decides to squat on it.
With what? My scout patrol is 4 turns away. My former is 1 turn away, but he's valuable. Uh oh, what to do?

Lookit dat hut:
Argh. Xenobiology came in, I've been putting hammers directly into research to speed me towards Geology, so I can get the Mining Laser and Bonus Mines up asap. With 3 laser mines, I'll have 14h. The second mineral bonus is +2h. City centre plus the free citizen is +2h. That means 27 modified hammers, or a 3-turn Hydro bay. And if I can overflow 18h from a previous build, that would mean a 2-turn Hydro bay. Hmmm, can I get it before someone else rushes it using a Materials pod?
Right now, after Geo, a beeline towards Soil Enrichment. I've decided on Centauri Hydrology as my transitional tech, as I'm planning on settling alongside rivers. It feels like a waste to get deflogic for chopping fungus, when I originally teched Xenobiology. Or maybe that was a mistake in the first place!

A difficult decision at end of turn.
Should I take on the worm at 88% odds and risk Bob stealing my hut, or grab the hut and risk losing the scout patrol on ~88% odds? Tricky, tricky.

Decided on killing the worm. Now let's hope that (a) someone doesn't steal the hut from under my nose, and (b) that the combat didn't shift the seed from a progenitor artifact to a map

If Maniac needs to play my T33 turn, please swap both of the capital's non-bonus mines to the DNA, and radiofungus, to complete the Unity Hydroponic Bay. If I miss out on the Hydrobay, then swap me to a colony pod, and turn on the governor by L-clicking the city tile.
Make Temple of Sol grow by working the Red Algae.
Make all scout patrols skip a turn.

I just lost the Unity Hydroponics Bay by turn order . The worse thing is I put research turns into Industrial base earlier because I panicked during the blitz and was worried i might get tank rushed by Mist. That was because he had let slip he was teching something with 2 research pre-reqs, and to me that sounded like Industrial base himself. And Ind base has 2 arrows into it. So I delayed Soil Enrichment, and look where I am now.
Welp, time to tech Industrial base and put the smack down on someone before they put the smack down on me.
