Ok - new season - new help needed.

I managed to win the league on the last day of the season (probably saved my job) but I saw some pretty glaring weaknesses in my team over the season and I have reinvested in the transfer market to hopefully make my team stronger.

However, I am unsure that my current formations are totally suitable and I am back again asking for help. Construct me some tactics and tell me if anyone needs selling.

I'm currently looking at selling Holtby & Veloso at least.

I think my strikeforce is much stronger now but I think I may need to move from DLF & AF to something else. Devlin scored over 30 goals last season and I really want to keep him in the team if I can. Is a Neymar/Devlin/Cavani strikeforce possible?

In the midfield, I am again winger-averse but I want to find a way to fit Juan Jose into the system. Wilshere was great as an Advanced Playmaker last year while Vidal/M'Vila/Khedira were all pretty solid but unspectacular. I like Bruno too but I have been suggested to convert him to another position like full back but I am unsure if that suits.

I want to play attacking football preferably, so if you can help me build something to achieve that then I'll be delighted. Though I could do with a system which could help me get further in the Champions League too.

Can't download the file off Megashares, site keeps throwing me back and forth between menu options. Can you try another file locker?

Not suitable if you want to accommodate all your new purchases. Especially Neymar. Looking purely at CA rating, you'd probably want to play Jose, Ramsey, Cavani, Neymar, M'Villa, Baudouin, Bruno and Devlin. Something like this

might work.

Both Jose and Ramsey are the same type of player with Jose slightly better, they can't play along each other because that will either unbalance your midfield or require taking away of striker slot.

Bruno won't work as a defender, not enough Aggression, not enough Bravery and can't jump for shit. He's a bog standard DM, an excellent at the role with a borderline Anchor Man ( again, held back by lack of Aggression ), or DLP suitability ( he'd be better at if it wasn't so easy to bully him with hard tackles ). This is why he looses first team spot to Baudouin in above shape, the Frenchman is just much better at being an Anchor.

Holtby, yes. He's a winger, you won't use him much.
Veloso... I'd leave him, he makes for a solid backup to M'Villa and has fantastic personality for tutoring purposes.

Who, I'd sell?

Think on Vidal, with Bruno and Baudouin in the squad you won't play him much.
Samba, his technicals are not up to par and he's getting old.
One of Gervhino, Wilshere, Tevez needs to go. Gervinho can be both backup for Neymar and Devlin ( after some ST training ), Wilshere can sub for Neymar and Tevez for Devlin. With three of them you have too many subs for those two roles.
Milner? He's not really good at anything in particular and you seem to have more specialized cover for all midfield positions.
Carreras. He's good and shows promise, but you don't have room for that type of striker on your team. He's also not good enough to warrant building a formation around him.
Naughton and Richards. Both are horrible going forward and the formation above requires a world-class right back.

You have to buy a class full back for right side. All your options right now are horrible.

Yes, see above. I think your strikers this year are much more interesting bunch. I'd probably keep Aranciba, he's not top class, but looks like an excellent specialist targetman as a backup for Cavani.

I'm not sure how much "attacking football" and "win champions league" can be made to work together. I'd suggest a high-tempo, high-pressing, hig-D-line setup, but you don't have a keeper that can sweep behind your defense ( all three of yours are low acceleration ). Try this, might work ( won friendly against Wolves with it )

Will that tactic work in all situations or will I need a more defensive formation for tougher games?

In terms of your wing back suggestion - I have had a £23m bid for Cesar Azpilicueta accepted - he looks to be the best available.

I am also considering going after Rene Adler for the sweeper keeper position - is that worth it? EDIT - Asking for £31.5m

Most of them, for hard games you might need to drop Devlin to AML, M'Villa to DM and set your rightback to Fullback(Support) while using Counter strategy.

He can't jump either wink I personally dislike defenders that can't jump, they make my teams concede from set pieces, but he looks okay apart from that. If you want an alternative suggestion - Bigger Kabongo from Monaco or Gary Bocaly from from Wolfsburg look excellent to ( and can jump lol ).

Probably not, you'd have to buy a good backup for him too, and that's a lot of money just for ability of having high D-Line. See how this tactic works for you first.
