Looks fun. Would have to do sims, but my first inclination is to settle 2N and looks like we have a nice commerce monster second city waiting for us.

[strike]2N looks like a cert. One forest in the BFC if we settle in place, vs lots and lots if we settle 2N. Plus tons of resources, plus tons of FPs for the second city. Looks awesome.[/strike]

Edit: 1N allows us to get an extra food from the 'nana, and work a 3H tile from the get-go for a superfast worker. Hmmm. I'll let the experts crunch the numbers, but that seems strong to me. EDIT 2: I think this is definitely strongest.

Starting positiong is extremely well designed, lots of different starting locations possible. Very nicely done, plako. thumbsup

We should sim out opening moves for all three suggested locations: starting tile, one north, and two north. I'll take my own stab at this when I have some free time. Going to be some time before this game gets started, after all.

I suspect 2N will be the best - plains hill, 7 forests, 2 strong foods, 2 other foods, etc etc. Some good overall options.

It comes down to one deer-tile vs two floodplain tiles. I honestly am not good enough to say which is better.
