He has a lot of enthusiasm for this old gem and I feel assured that he will maintain a welcoming and laid-back atmosphere here. I'm afraid my interest has dwindled since I started it, and I have neglected my duties. With zitro and kyrub having exciting new projects on the board, I'm confident this community will continue to flourish. zitro, I'm off to Texas for a month so please ask KingOfPain or T-Hawk to upgrade your title.

Catwalk, thank you for your long time contribution for this small forum section.
You brought Master of Magic forum to RBO after the Dragonsword downfall, you've resuscitated the community here and kept its spirit alive. Without you and this forum, I would certainly not gone that far with Insecticide; and I guess neither would Serena or others finish or continue their projects.
That's most appreciated and never forgotten.


(Needless to say, this is still an open arena for you, at least once you claw back from damning Sid Meier's tentacles and embrace the MoM truth.)

I'm still interested in MoM, and once your project is completed I'll certainly play around with it and participate in any events you may host. Many thanks to you too kyrub, it's been a great pleasure cooperating with you even though we never saw Catnip to completion. I'm very pleased that it's served as inspiration for the new project. My one regret is that we didn't move to Realms Beyond sooner, this is much better suited to our needs as we get a broader audience and better infrastructure.

Sadly, I must confess that I'm rather much into Civilization 4 these days

Master of Magic has a lot of charm and appeal, and is a very different kind of game than Civilization. There are similarities, but they each have unique selling points that should not be sought to replicate. MoM will never be a hardcore strategy game like Civ4, and Civ4 will never have all the whimsical charm that MoM has.

I'm one of the last arrived here, so I found everything "ready", but I read your past threads (even in other forums) and we all know you put the best effort in this community.

Keep visiting this (sub)forum, I'm sure there'll be a nice place for you.

I'm going to put an effort at making this forum welcoming and hopefully more active.

I have played this game since I was around 9 years old, despite not knowing any English (I am originally from Argentina). I managed to get the hang of it and be able to play it on hard difficulty. It has been a very engaging game but as I grew a bit older, my increasingly analytical mind got in the way a bit: For example I always thought paladins and war trolls were ridiculously overpowered while many summons were pathetic (efreets and spiders in particular).

My interest resurfaced with Aureus mod, which solved more than half of my problems with the game. Then this year, I started modding that mod with editors (despite bugs introduced by them) so that I could get even more comfortable with balance, ending my efforts prematurely with a surprisingly fun (if buggy/unfinished) mix with insecticide in order to begin development of 'ZiKy' with Kyrub.

Let's make sure we stick with the same forum and keep it active with interesting discussions

I'm afraid that power can't be delegated to a moderator; only an administrator for the entire site can do that. Let me know what forums you want created and where.

Kyrub and I would like to have a subforum in the Master of Magic forum titled "Ziky - Flexibility and Speed" (there's currently 4 subforums including catnip)

Catwalk, thank you for your energy! Inspite of you don't finish your project,there are lot ideas wich will be incorporated to the other projects. So ,your efforts newer leak into a sand.
