Does anyone know how holy cities are determined? I've been told two conflicting versions: Both agree that main thing is no religion, secondarily no palace, but after that one version says most recent city first and another says biggest city first.

Also: If sabotage production is no longer available on the espionage screen (but other options are), does that mean they completed something last turn and have no hammers in the box (overflow or not)?
Holy cities depend on size, although it's not an absolute choice, it's a random pick with the chance weighted by size.
Yes to your sabotage question, no value means nothing in the box. Although in a simultaneous Pitboss game, it doesn't necessarily mean that they completed something last turn, it could mean they changed production sometime on the current turn.
Thanks! Are you able to venture a guess as to what the chances would be between two eligible cities which are size 3 and 1?
I remember reading a post about this on civfanatics, which is here:
http://forums.civfanatics.com/showpost.p...tcount=19. It seems like it's something like 10% better chance per pop difference (it's less than that, but) - ie, if there are both size 1, its' 50/50. 2 vs 1 is 60-40. 3-1 70-30. Presumably, the older city gets it in the case of a tie in values (the game figures a value for each city, part of which is random, so cities could get the same value)
Completed: PBEM 34g (W), 36 , 35 , 5o, 34s, 5p, 42, 48 and PB 9, 18, 27, 57
Current: PB 52. Boudicca of Maya
Does anyone know where can I find out how many points (game score) are awarded for researching a specific tech, ... pop, wonders. land etc?
Like: Mysticism = 2 , BW = 4, 2 pop = 1 score ... |
