Halloween 2007

Well, the official announcement is up, and this Thursday the towns get redecorated, with Mad King Thorn making his rounds on Halloween. There are no new redecorations for GW:EN, but you have to figure they'll put a quest or two in somewhere.

Anyways, the real reason I'm making this topic is because, with the major GW holiday rolling around, it's going to be time to change the cape soon. I can't remember what the exact changes were for the cape, so I went to the emblemer and started playing around with the colors. Black was easy. If anyone remembers what we used for orange, please do post it. In any case, here's what I wound up with:

Personally speaking, a black-emblem-on-orange-background would give a better look. More Jack-o-Lantern cut-out style.

That's just my opinion though.

Edit: Kludged together one and learned that the detail scroller actually alters the base cape style too. Never knew that...

... and I'll almost certainly end up missing the big Halloween feast, heh. Unless people have super major lag, so ANet decides to rerun this holiday weekend. Obviously I'm not wishing this to you, I'd never be that mean

Here are shots of the new masks:

The left one is a Mummy Mask which you get in Kamadan, the one on the right is a Scarecrow Mask from Lion's Arch.

Couple things different about this year's Mad King appearances: He's only giving out Trick-or-Treat bags instead of random Halloween items (though that's arguably the same thing). Also, he has a few new jokes.
