OK, the replacement game Epic Sixteen (new number to avoid confusion) is ready to go. I'm sending off the files to Griselda now, and hopefully she'll have everything up on the website shortly. Thanks to everyone for your patience and understanding.

I was playing this game and had my eye on killing [CENSOR] and then colony spamming. Oh well - will look at Epic 16.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

One idea I'll throw out there although it's far from perfect. On an archi map the colony expenses can be huge, so you basically need to break some off. But if you check No Vassal States when you start the game, colonies can't be created. The game gives you credit for that by charging no colony expenses at all, so you avoid that problem.
Of course that creates new problems by changing the game in other ways. Wars are very different without vassals as an option. Some people like colonies not just for penny-pinching but also so they don't have to tend to the cities themselves. The list goes on. I just figured I'd mention it since it wouldn't require a patch, merely ![]() ![]() edit: nvm! i was concentrating on the "explore the world" part of the description and completely missed that points were given for creating colonies ![]() ![]() |
