Message from our Vent server

releasing the new version of Ventrilo (3.0) this Wednesday the 14th.
New features include but are not limited to: User Access Rights,

sessions, and much, much more. Due to new features, Ventrilo.com has
asked hosting companies to remove the ability to modify users and
channels via the web control panels. As such, those features will be
only available via the Ventrilo 3.0 client when it is released on
Wednesday.
In efforts to make this transition as smooth as possible â we ask
that you tell your guild/clan members, and anyone else using your
Ventrilo servers as soon as you can about the update. The new version
of Ventrilo 3.0 is being released in the early morning hours of the
14th. All current servers will operate under Ventrilo 2.3.2 until the
client is released.
As such, DarkStar Communications will turn up everyoneâs server under
the new version as soon as it is made available to the public. PLEASE
BEAR IN MIND â Ventrilo 3.0 is not compatible with Ventrilo 2.3. As
such, when the servers are upgraded, those who do not have the new
client will not be able to connect. Furthermore, the new Ventrilo 3.0
client cannot connect to previous 2.3 servers. So please, download
the new client as soon as it is made available on Ventrilo.comâs web
site.

Hey guys, we have a couple folks here who would like to be able to connect to vent separately from the same IP (i.e. they are on a home network behind a home firewall.) Apparently, however, the vent server is not set up to allow this. Is this something we can change?

I have tried to set the Duplicate IPs allowance to no-limit but it's not saving. It resets (back) to 7, which should work but it doesn't? This is at the mercy of tech support...
BTW, we are all [Guest] unless I go in to add each one to the users editor. NOT going to do that. It's a new "feature" which is under heavy opposition and may see a fix by next patch.

I have installed, uninstalled, reinstallled, checked firewall settings, checked ventrilo settings, and set my pc in the DMZ of my firewall and I still get the same error message from ventrilo when trying to connect:

You will be automatically banned if you try connecting with the wrong password several more times, so be sure you have the correct password before you try again. Passwords are case sensitive and must be completely retyped if you are making a change to it. The password will always be displayed as 8 (*'s or dots) even if the actual length of the password is shorter or longer then 8. You should also verify that you entered the correct IP address (or hostname) and Port number. If the port number is wrong you are connecting to the wrong server.
I am not sending any password as far as I can see. The IP is 216.86.157.126, the port is 4698, and all of the other options are the same from when I had it working with the old version of ventrilo. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can do to fix this?

Yes, I am an idiot. I forgot that the server needed a password and that upgrading versions removes old passwords. 
At least I can tell people I am an idiot over vent now, though.

KoP You said this is at the mercy of tech support... have you heard anything back from them yet?
