It was fine if you pretended Vettel wasn't there and second equalled first. Besides last year's Canadian Grand Prix was spectacular enough to make the season feel worthwhile.

On the other hand the rules are often not enforced to anywhere near the toughness required. I have been convinced over watching for the last few years that the only way a player in the EPL would get a straight red (except in the case of playing against Man U at Old Trafford where Sir Alex is the ref every game) would if he committed mass genocide of all the other players and spectators.

It always amazes me that on the rule which split Rugby and Soccer, the allowance of hacking, it is now strictly and severely penalised in Rugby, where Soccer it almost always is only a slap on the wrist.

It is one of the two reasons why I am increasingly disillusioned with the game at the top level.

@ Bigger are you decrying my prediction skills, or have you not seen the sport of Gaels yet?

I'm sure they were shocked they didn't get their way for once. There has been a media campaign against FIFA's supposed corruption in the U.S. ever since...I can't tell if its a coincedence or not [Image: shifty.gif].

FIFA is massively corrupt, Andrew Jennings has been documenting it for years, both in print and at his website. If Mugabe were voted the next president the organisation would actually become slightly cleaner.

Have you stopped "doing the Tebow" in public now that you've signed Peyton, MNG?
Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.

LOL. How did I miss this comment?

I'm still a Tebow fan. I still sometimes watch the clip from the Pittsburgh playoff game -and I think I will continue to watch that clip for a long time.

I'm a Bronco fan first and foremost, though... and that means being thrilled that I can finally just appreciate Tebow from afar while rooting for a team that can start winning because of its QB, rather than in spite of its QB.

I'm just glad Mike McCoy wasn't snapped up after re-writing the offense midseason and helping to transform a downright awful team into a team that won more playoff games than the Chargers, Cowboys, Eagles, and Packers, amongst other "great" teams.

The challenge: I have recently earned a promotion into a new area at work with people that did not know me in previous football seasons. I must make sure that they understand I was every bit as much a fan of the Broncos in 2009 and 2010 when they were godawful (and before when they were OK) as I am now that they have real potential.

To answer your question... No Tebowing for me this year, but no hard feelings either lol
