I'm back after a rather long absence and I see that all the recent tournaments have been run in BTS. I was wondering if there are any plans to do more epics/adventures in plain old vanilla. If not, I'll have to plan on picking up BTS, which I would probably do eventually anyway.

You probably might as well go ahead and pick up the expansion, especially if you can find a deal on it somewhere. While we may revisit the standalone version of Civ4 for a special occasion, I expect most of the events will be using the expansion from now on. There's just not a whole lot we haven't explored already in v1.61. smile
