Purely hypothetical situation of all cities running wealth with 100% tech slider.

That's 490bpt with 112 gold deficit.

Note this is before printing press that comes in at end of turn.

Now, sustainably we can tech at around 40% slider with just shy of 300bpt. This is with absolutely no courthouses, nearly no markets, no grocers, no universities and 1 monastery. We pay 233gpt in expenses, mostly civic ( 79 ) and city ( 91 ) maintenance.

Thanks smile

Also, what exactly is Operation Crazy Ivan?

Something that will make Commodore really, *really* hate me lol

Name inspired by The Hunt For Red October which I happened to see again recently ( wikipedia explanation of Crazy Ivan )

At the moment there's a ( optimistic assumption warning ) 10t window between Commodore getting Rifling and us catching up. Depending on whether he lands Liberalism, and what he slings, it's entirely plausible he'll have Steel on top. That's not a welcome prospect.

I see no point in spending hammers on conquering France only to have HRE take it all from us in some 20 turns.

I do on the other hand, see a lot of mileage in smashing some 20 highly promoted phracts into a very soft southern border of Commodore dear. He will not be nearly as dangerous three cities lighter, whipped/drafted to the ground ( in Golden Age ) and with no Iron to boot. This would mean easing pressure off Dave, but then Dave is essentially a corpse already. He's not going to go anywhere and he'll have nothing to stop rifles in ~15t.

I'm not fully committed to this yet, but so far I can see no other solution.

Ivan would be even crazier if you went and attacked NobleGas. They'd be completely surprised and no one would suspect it, like all of the best birthday parties! :cake::2dance:

Well, I still think we can get on par with Commodore if we capture Davey's land. I think Commodore would try to attack gaspar, not us too (well, if we don't attack him now, obviously lol). We could finish Davey and then have a go at Yuris.

But I'm not opposed to seeing the world burn a bit, so Crazy Ivan also sounds nice. No one wants a stupid space race battle or something. War is where the cool things are.

There is no time to even get it out of revolt. Commodore is in Golden Age, has Gunpowder and Printing Press. He just one turned Banking. All he needs is Replaceable Parts and Rifling, with his GNP and gold reserves it's about ~5t away. And he has Nationhood, so he'd be able to draft by the time he exits GA.

We on the other hand, in 5t would be able to whip Muskets. Maybe.

Didn't I tell you already I expect worst of people? lol And seriously, we're a softer target. Gaspar has CKNs and can draft Muskets already.

Anyhow, look at this and marvel.

Can everyone repeat after me? "Hi, I'm Commodore aand I have no city walls." lol

That burning, revolting city is Strength, right?
More people have been to Berlin than I have.

No, that's actually former Tuchanka, I couldn't bother to rename it since we're not going to keep it. Strength ( former Palaven ) is the one you can barely see in the lower right corner.

What do you mean you're not going to keep it?
