Thanks Asfex! simone, I must admit that I have not tried Civ5 yet. I picked up Civ4 cheaply one day at random, after having lurked the Civ4 section for a few months. The severe criticism of Civ5 convinced me that Civ4 was the safer bet, and I seem to fit the target audience for Civ4 better. To my understanding, Civ5 is more single player oriented with focus on cool features, with Civ4 being more of a hardcore strategy game focused on multi player. I'm thoroughly impressed with the additions to previous games that Civ4 brings to the table, and I haven't regretted my decision. I don't pick up new games very often, so I probably won't be trying out Civ5. I also don't think my computer can run it properly

Ah ok, nice!
Well, Civ 5 is definitively NOT a big improvement, from a strategy perspective, compared to Civ 4. It's also very demanding in terms of CPU/GPU performance.
A pity you're neglecting MoM... I wish there will be a Civ 6: Lords of Magic in the making
And I love hexagon tiles.

I do like hexagons too, works better for serious strategy games. And I'm not entirely gone from MoM, especially now that activity is picking up again.

it would be better to link the mods here instead of "sticky"-ing them all. to many stickies make it harder to find anything.

Hear hear!
Dear admins, could we make a Modding subsection, pretty please? Too many stickied posts here. And too many posts about modding info, which could use a new home, no?
Personnally, I am ready to let ZiKy subsection in there as well, but I am unsure if the extra sub-branches are possible.

We could do an "Other projects" section for projects that are not quite big enough to warrant their own section. Ask zitro to contact T-Hawk about it, we can't make that kind of changes. FrancoK, don't use the "Report post" for this
zitro, note that you can edit my posts as needed.

Nah, 6 sections are too much anyway. Branched subsections would help, but RBO - if I udnerstand well - have not got this feature yet.
Let's leave it for now, time will tell us more.

Well, looks like T-Hawk noticed it already I say we use it, that way the main forum can be freed up for non-mod related matters.

In that case, I vote for putting there
- all threads with "my mod XY" and stickiing them
- all threads with "how to mod"
* btw, this conversation should have happened in the admin thread I guess. Sorry for spoiling this important thread.

Thanks T-Hawk.
Only the people crazy enough to think they can change the world of Arcanus and Myrror can do it.
