So, nice thing about this game is that you dotmap right from the beginning!!



A gives protection to my copper, strong food that I won't lose and access to the gold. But it's not on a hill, so that's a little vulnerable.

B gets me marbles/stone

C gets me my horses - as a 3rd city, I'll probably have to settle elsewhere...

this is a pretty boring game right now move units around, make sure I don't get killed, try to gegt visibility into everyone's capital

Killed a pindicator warrior - he was recovering from a battle with something, so I figured... why not?

I killed him flawlessly!! yay me!!

scooter came out to meet me - I thought about moving in on him, but I figured it was a trap to get killed by an archer, so I left...


So, what's happening in the lurker thread?

I figure Commodore is getting "Most likely to attack"

I'm getting "most likely to not catch commodore's huge power build up"

pindicator is getting "most likely to land the HG in a complicated plan"

And everyone is congratulatiing scooter on not actually trying to get stonehenge...

so, where am I at?

well, I will be at size 3 next turn, with a workboat out and the wheat irrigated. I'll be building a cottage. I'll switch to a settler while I finish up BW. After teh settler, I'll grow into a granary. After BW, Hinduism->Priesthood. Oracle goes in the cap while I build a vulture or two in my new city for defense.

That's the plan. There's no real micro for this

hey - Copper was right where I thought it was!

Scooter seems to be going for a settler at size 2, pindicator has grown to size 4! commodore and I are both at size 3 for our settlers, I think.

It seems that pindicator is choking commodore's copper.



Plan for settling my copper:



Road the fur, which allows me to move to spot 1 the first turn (1 movement across the river to the road, and then 2 along the road), and the settle the 2nd turn. A blitz settlement.

the choke pindicator is setting may screw that up if commodore decides to settle his horses first, which would kind of suck. I wonder how many vultures it takes to kill a CG III archer on a hill with fortifications? Answer - a lot, I'm sure...

so, I may be wrong, but I THINK that commodore just build a barracks. He's grown a lot and, unless my C&D is wrong, just finished something with about 30 hammers, which is a barracks.

My guess is that he's going to go hook up the copper with an archer and a warrior cover.

Pindicator and commodore have both grown to size 5. I'm size 3, but I'm about to plop my 2nd city down. switching to slavery... for, you know, the slavey goodness Researching polytheism. Plan is to get the relgion (hopefully) and then oracle. I'll build oracle in my cap and some vultures in city #2, which will probably be VultureRoad.

No one else has a 2nd city out, so I might be 1st. Woo!

I am making a 2nd worker and will grow these two until, at least, I can work the corn, the copper and the gold in VultureRoad before I start making a 3rd city. Costs are huge on this map (which is why sumeria is nice - cheap early courthouses)
