We were looking at 2E of the Deer. We can then demarcate the borders and seal the deal with a NAP of reasonable duration. How does this sound?

Giving exact city positioning is bad. It forces our hand well in advance. Don't say it unless totally nescessary. They seem eager to sign NAP and border deal. Better take advantage of that and settle on other direction (assuming we find decent spots) especially as it seems that TEAM has ignored our message for a quite awhile already.

Okay I officially have no idea what to say. They are looking for something concrete, not some vague "don't worry we aren't pink dotting you" or similar. Either we reply "no border agreement or NAP and we're settling where we want" or we start the process of working on a border agreement and NAP, which has to include where we are settling our Gold city. If someone can think of an alternative approach I'm all ears .

My suggestion. Send them below border alongside with some longish NAP. Free settling on own side of the border as a 1st suggestion. If they want more concrete placement we'll start giving it.

If you want to give a "sign-of-good-will that really isn't one", I'd point out that we want that deer, but it's not possible to settle that without getting our borders to their side (the locations 2E and 2E1S are forbidden by our gold city and the northern ones have mountains).

S, I'd say that, while we want to settle for that, we will not culturally push that city more than what's essential (library or something like that).

I think this shows that we are concerned about the long term prospects of our relations while also netting us some good possible city location without making Mach7 mad.
