WW15 - Chiron is a harsh mistress

Wait. The dream was sent by a "Datajack" and the role is "Genejack" in question. Never mind.

This is way way too confusing.

Given that "cull" list its probably Maniac and his suspects.

In any case, I'm in between flights and my final order for kills would be:

Brick
Jkaen
Meiz
Maniac

I think that that is the order that we should lynch and I'm fairly sure we'll finally be done with this game within 3 day cycles, 4 at the most. Hopefully I'll be killed so I don't have to actively push anymore.

I'm supremely fed up with mindworm bull.

Maybe we could move to 24 hour days soon? I don't want to be unfair to anyone up on the block, but there aren't as many people around now to discuss things over.

can someone explain a most important question for me?

why the fuck did i just re-read 1400 posts and watch 3 hours of some random dude on the internet play SMAC?

The night was peaceful and serene, relatively speaking. In the morning the group gathered for breakfast, but found Guardian H’minee to be missing. Santiago, with some prodding from the others, approached her room and found her lying in bed, but not moving. The doctor was called.

“Is she dead?” he was asked.

The doctor tried to feel for a pulse, but he didn’t know where a pulse would be found, anyway.

“I’ve never treated one of this species. She’s dead, I guess.”

The stench emanating from her body seemed to support that hypothesis. The humble worker, who was called “stickman” thanks to his long, lanky frame, found a note near the alien corpse
As you wish. We are only here to help, after all. – NAP
Lewwyn, Guardian Lular H'minee, resister of transcendence was poisoned in his sleep, night 5.
You are Lular H’minee, of the Planetary Caretakers. You are a villager. Your blood feud with the Usurper’s has consumed most of your thoughts during your brief time on planet. Your spies have learned that he has joined the NAP conspiracy, so you have aligned yourself with the humans to resist that threat. Using the unique technology of your people, you have assumed the form of a human talent, a librarian, in order to attend the peace conference, and you may safely claim that role if necessary. You win with the village when all threats to the village are eliminated.
Manifold Harmonics: You have developed a special psionic weapon that will cause instant death to any person of your race. You may use it only twice, and it can only kill Conquerer Judaa Marr. If you target another player, the weapon will be useless.
You win when all threats to humanity are destroyed.

I think that the NAP roleblocker is feeling confident not to be lynched today. Otherwise they would have hit selrahc...

We might consider not following Lewwyns plan as that is perhaps what they wanted...

BRickAstley Wrote:Well you are right Maniac, I do have the nerve staple ability, but it scares me more than it should you. What it does is it keeps any drones from being able to riot, and that's all the data that Bigger gave me so no cool normal useage.

By the way, I received a very vivid dream last night....

No kidding. But I did receive a message saying that I've been nerved stapl'd, so I can not riot for the rest of the game.

No more hiding.

Can I be mayor for a day too?

Sorry to see you go, Lewwyn. You were about as great a villager as I've ever seen in a game here.

I scanned Maniac. He's "Colonel Corazon Santiago", which is what he claimed (I think he actually said he was Pedro Santiago or something, but I assume he was just joking).

I'm going to have to vote for Brick to start, especially after having read Molach's post. Why did you nerve-staple him, man? Making him easier to kill at nights? This isn't even getting into him being the most suspicious survivor of the Drone Saga.

I not so sure if Brick is the missing NAP Roleblocker though. Roleblocking is a very powerful ability, and I imagine that the roleblocker either only has a minor villagerish power to claim, or no other ability at all (like Novice).

Of the remaining suspicious parties (the people Lewwyn listed), I think Maniac and Jkaen are likely to be the roleblocker:

Jkaen claimed that his power is being able to tell when others perform night actions on him. He only claimed this after I had already publicly stated that I scanned him, so he could have been making it up entirely. Alternatively, this is an incredibly weak power, and it would work better for a wolf than a villager anyway (village had two seers for him to detect if they scan him, wolves only had one). So it makes sense as a weak power he could claim as cover for his main ability to roleblock.

Maniac on the other hand hasn't even claimed a power, the only person left in the game to not do so. He did mention "Clinical Immortality" at the start, but I think he was joking (?). Now, I don't want to force him to reveal his ability if it's something really useful for the village but which must operate in secret, but at this point it's looking very suspicious to me.

I don't think Meiz is a roleblocker. Maybe a wolf, but seems odd for a roleblocker to also have anti-mindworm powers and be a neighborizer. This is assumes he's telling the truth about the former.

As for mayor, Bobchillingworth.
