Did Cyneheard do anything else besides the spice / rice demand to make you paranoid? I did offer a WM trade with him, so maybe he just wants our spare resources. He probably has health / happy issues.

No, just the spice/rice demand. I cant tell if he accepted the WM trade but i still wouldnt give him anything like that for it.

Yeah - I offered WM trade to see if he / anyone had any info on the west of Yuri-ville. Nobody wants to give up their map though lol

I'll log in here in a bit to check around but Yuri has not played yet.

I did see with our invention of Gunpowder that we're up over 1000 points!!! We should probably get close to 1100 after we play our turn devil

Of yuri plays the same time of day as yesterday then thats just an hour away. That said this is a work day so you get to move the pieces.

Took a brief look around.

Queued up Oromo Warriors for our builds that completed last turn.

There are 4 longbows (2 with CG2) and an axe in Belshir, which has 60% culture.

Aiur still has just the lone archer, but Shakuras added a longbow (which I assume will get promoted to CG2 when Yuri plays) to its axe.

Xil has the 3 longbows (2 CG1), 2 axes and 2 spears, and Monlyth still has just the single longbow with ancient trash.

Yuri's golden age indeed ended, and Scooter got a GSci and Azza a GM.

But most importantly, Commodore got a GG and his stack is no longer in Ware Jabberwock.

Thank goodness Commodore isn't acting like his early-game self. Then again, it would be ballsy for him to attack us when Cyneheard isn't completely out of the picture.

I'm starting to go through micro withdrawals; it was so bad I was helping Noble with his game last night. Anything we need figuring out? Any plans or troop movements or build orders or tech time estimates or worker plans or galley logistics or anything of the like that wouldn't be presumptive to hash out at this point? Guess that's a question for after the turn, really.

No doubt. Though to be fair we still have like 10 hours left lol He is online too but I have resisted the urge to ping him.

If you're bored, maybe figure out what if any terraforming we want to do in ex-Yuri? We do also have 4 workers doing nothing on the mainland. We probably want 2 there to keep Krill honest if we need to, but I'm not sure we need 4.

Also, what about settling that crazy spot between Krill and Azza? Any thoughts on how we can do that without provoking Krill?

That's a good idea - we will need to identify commerce vs. mfg cities and get the improvements accordingly. Definitely agree on shuttling another pair of workers west; we are going to want all the worker help we can get there. Maybe even shuttle all 4 and build 2 more (like in TGR)?

I'm going to guess that we want to get more commerce cities where we can - we already are pushing Krill for tops in MFG so I'm going to plan on making the majority of Yuri-ville as commerce (unless the land screams mfg).

Yeah, it's hard to put that one down without antagonizing people, but I think the best way to do it is under these guidelines:
1) Not until the heavy lifting against Yuri is done. Otherwise Krill may feel we're being greedy / over-extending by expanding multiple directions at once.
2) Keep cultural buildings to a minimum. Anything in his BFC should stay Krill's
3) Minimal garrison. I'd do this anyway, but it will be less invasive and less threatening to him if we only have a pair of Oromos. (Plus it's just better defensive strategy: if he wants to fight a war over it, our main troops will be waiting in our core to re-take Crazy Plant Hand.)

Brief update here - I got interrupted and had to leave mid-turn. Yuri "spite-whipped" Belshir, Shakuras, Aiur and Xil. I don't mind spite-whipping, but normally isn't it preceded by actual whipping to try and save your land? Anywho, we decided to first handle the battle of Xil

Sacrificed 2 cats (first one of course did no damage), then sent in the real troops

* C2 knight vs. 80HP longbow @ 80.5% - win!
* C2 knight vs. 82HP mace @ 70% - win
* C2 knight vs. 76HP longbow @ 82% - loss frown
* C2 knight vs. 80HP longbow @ 84.5% - win! (GG born in More Cowbell)
* C2 knight vs. 75HP spear @ 87% - win
* C1 knight vs. 75HP spear @ 84% - win
* C2 ele vs. wounded axe @ 82% - die (of course)
* C2 ele vs. wounded longbow - win
* Sentry HA vs. axe - win and take the city

Slightly worse RNG than we should hope from the odds (we should have lost 1.3 of our 7 non-mopup attackers and we lost 2). Still, for us, that has to be classified as an overwhelming success!!

We'll want to get 2 workers there to road the tile NW of the city so we can move next to Monlyth

Do we have another 2-mover available to kill that chariot and move back into town? Pity we dont have more workers - lets just put TGR on worker duty after its grocer.

Edit: or Coneheads- thatd be a good city to spam workers/settlers from
