BTW I use DosBox 0.73 with W7 64 bit and sometimes Tweaker do not connect to the game, closing DosBox and connecting again do not solve, closing Tweaker and connecting again do not solve, I have to close both, load DosBox first, then Tweaker to let it connect. It happens very rarely (1% of the times I used it more ore less), do I have to upgrade to 0.74?

That 1% may be due to the same problem.
Btw, I haven't seen significant differences between 0.72-0.74.

If I just scan all of dosbox's memory, connecting to mom takes 15 seconds.

In ArtMoney select dosbox from the dropdown box.
(Don't click on the "..." button next to it. That one does not work.)
Click Search and search for "Borland" with the type Text, you'll find 2 of them close together.
Select Process / Process Map, look up the address and you'll see the size.

Wow! That's totally unexpected.
Looks like DOSBox is either claiming much smaller memory blocks, or the operating system gives it much smaller blocks.

I don't like backup algorithms.
It's hard to maintain them, since I wouldn't use them myself.

Anyway, I've come up with another solution.
I've replaced the search algorithm by the best algorithm there is (Knuth-Morrison-Prath).
That knocks the time down to about 5 seconds on my system.

Win7 minimum memory required is 2GB, standard 3/4GB (32 or 64 bits) so your netbook is running with a limited memory, but there nothing to worry, some fancy option are not available, but most person never use them.

I prefer my current solution that (should) always work without hassle.
