Confusion, accusations, and panic abound. Early in the day, some suspected the doctor, who no one had seen actually do any medical work. But Captain Svensgaard stood up for him.
“Early this morning I tripped and scraped my knee. He had a very handy first aid kit and fixed me right up!”
With the doctor vindicated, attention turned to Chairman Yang and the quiet drone. Except he was no longer quiet.

“You sure are eloquent and talkative for a lowly drone. I’ve never heard of a drone with so much words. Perhaps the confidence comes from being so close to victory! Have your NAP buddies emboldened you?” accused Yang.

“I was wrong about you. Forgive me village, I should have voted to lynch Yang several days ago! Oh, you evil man,” retorted the drone.

The empath and the doctor wanted Yang dead as well. But captain Svensgaard remained steadfast that it was time for the drone to die.

Just before noon the empath spoke up, “I have been looking into the drone Molach’s soul. I no longer believe he is innocent. Let’s lynch him.”

There was a brief awkward silence, then the empathy spoke again, “Well, its past dusk. Shouldn’t we get this lynch over with?”

“You idiot,” Yang mocked him. “The sun is still up; we have hours still to figure this out.”

“Oh!” responded the empath.

For the rest of the day the drone and Yang argued their innocence, mostly at each other. The rest of the group agreed to remain alert and watch for any last minute NAP shenanigans, but no one changed their vote.

Molach, the talkative drone was lynched on day 8.
You are a drone, a member of the village.
You have the following ability:
Drone riots – you may start a drone riot. This will result in you being arrested for the night phase, meaning you cannot be targeted by night abilities. You can use this up to 2 times.
You win when all threats to humanity have been destroyed.
Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.

*Crash* *Boom* *Bang*. The empath Waterbat awoke with a jump. He grabbed the bat he kept near his bed and ran towards the common area to see what the ruckus was about. In the hallway he passed Captain Svensgaard and exchanged an anxious glance with him. When he arrived he found Chairman Yang and Dr. Selrahc engaged in a bitter struggle. Waterbat grinned.

“Hey, Stop that! Leave that poor doctor alone!” Svensgaard shouted, and jumped towards the two combatants. Thinking quickly, Waterbat hit him over the head with his bat, and Svensgaard fell limp on the ground. The doctor let out a chilling, unhuman scream, forcing Waterbat to cover his ears.

“Enough of this,” said Yang. He pulled a strange weapon from his pocket and aimed it at the doctor. When he pulled the trigger the doctor screamed again, and then fell to the ground, unable to move. “This is my dreamtwister. You’ve felt it before, although you maybe you didn’t realize it. It renders its victims unable to act. Finally, however, it is time for you to die.” Waterbat threw the bat to Yang, who mercilessly hacked at the doctor.

To their surprise, the doctor didn’t die. Instead, his skin melted away, leaving a horrific mind worm in its wake. The mind worm attacked Yang, who did his best to fight him off. Thinking quickly, Waterbat ran to the medical center and grabbed an emergency flamethrower. With Yang’s help he roasted the beast, and hooted as it burned to a crisp.

Selrahc, mindworm, serial killer’s apprentice was role-blocked and killed night 8.
You are a non-sentient mind worm. You are angry at all invaders of planet. You don’t really care about the NAP’s, but are determined to destroy all humanity, good and evil. You win when all Nap’s are destroyed and you control a big enough voting block to ensure the remaining members of the council will die as well.
If the Planet mind is ever killed, you will lose all sentience and quickly die with it.
You have taken the form of a human talent, doctor, for the conference, and may safely claim the role if required.
You may make one night kill per night (starting night 2).

“I knew it! I told you he was a mind worm, didn’t I Yang?”

“Yes, yes, you were right Bat.” Yang replied. “Quickly, string this one up. We must finish what we started.”

“Yes sir!”

The two strung up Svensgaard in the noose they had nicknamed “Old Faithful.” Wasting no time, they set the mechanism and released it. With a snap, the neck broke, the body dead.

Bobchillingworth, Planet serial killer was lynched day 9.

You are the planet mind. You have been asleep for ages and are slowly awakening. You will gain more power each day as you become more sentient. You don’t really care about the NAP’s, but are determined to destroy all humanity, good and evil. You win when all Nap’s are destroyed and you control a big enough voting block to ensure the remaining members of the council will die as well.
You have managed to sneak one of your mind worms into the council.
Since you are a planet, you are difficult to kill. You are immune to night kills. You are also immune to probe teams. However, you can be lynched.
Before the the U.N. Council was convened, you managed to intercept Captain Ulrik Svensgaard with an Island of the Deep and dispose of his body. You have been able to assume his form at the council, so should a name claim become necessary you can safely claim him to keep your identity a secret. You also became aware through psionic interrogation that he built the Maritime Control Center secret project, although you aren’t sure what it did.
Planet read – using your psionic powers, you can scan any 1 players each night and discover their true name (not their affinity or powers).”
Day 2:
“You can make a public announcement that will be appear in the form of GM flavor text from the planetary consciousness. This must be submitted by the night deadline, and will appear sometime during the first 24 hours of the next day. You can use this ability twice, on any night you choose, but not two nights in a row.
Once per night you may also send a private message to one player, which will come from the GM but appear as a message from the sentient planet (or from an “unknown player,” if you prefer). This is due by the end of the night phase.
If the mind worm is ever dead, you may give up your night kill immunity in order to do night kills yourself. If you do so, you will also lose your immunity to probe teams.”
Day 3:
“You have learned that there are 2 faction leaders who have researched Planet to such a degree they are immune to your night attacks – Lady Dierdre and Prophet Cha Dawn.
Day 6: Ecological damage has intensified your powers. You now have the ability to launch one targeted attack powerful enough to get by Lady Dierdre or Cha Dawn However, you must submitted the player name and role name of your target – if you guess wrong, the attack will fail.

The last 2 NAP’s briefly celebrated their victory, but were surprised when Svensgaards head raised and looked Waterbat in the eyes. He spoke to Waterbat without moving his mouth. “earthempath… this weak human body has failed me. Human, you have bested me. See what I can show you.”

Waterbat felt a tremendous telepathic rush, and a vision overwhelmed him. He saw an alien species land on Planet. They were homonids, like humans, but so unlike humans. They built many things: Mines, and solar panels, and borehole clusters, and harvested great energy from Planet. But they were careless, and ignored the warnings Planet gave them: they greatly angered Planet. Too late they realized the power of Planet. They changed their ways, building great ruins to honor planet, and the Manifold Nexus to appease it, but it was too late – Planet became strong, and desired to envelop and destroy them, like one might sear a boil on one’s skin. The sea raised, xenofungus spread, and the alien species was enveloped. Planet bloomed and was magnificent, then collapsed upon itself, and forgot all.

Sometime later, Waterbat saw another specifies land on Planet’s surface. They repeated the same mistakes – first flourishing, then being destroyed by the angry Planet, and forgotten. Again and again Waterbat saw in his vision a new species land on Planet, and again and again they were consumed and destroyed by Planet. A dozen different species in total the empath saw, until finally, the earthlings landed on Planet.

“So you see, earthempath, the fate others have met. What shall be your fate?”

“Lieutenant Bat! Wake up!” Shouted Yang.

“Huh. Oh, Sir! This is the Planet mind, occupying Svensgaards body. This is the being we have sought to complete transcendence. We must complete our mission at once, while we have it subdued.”

Yang was surprised. Lacking telepathic powers himself he had not seen the same vision Waterbat saw, but he had learned long ago to trust his empath.

Yang and Waterbat went into motion at once. Yang retrieved the recently completed Voice of Planet secret project from its hiding place, and forced the entire planetary datalinks, with the entire history of humanity, all at once into the Planet’s consciousness:

The transfer complete, the ascent to transcendence was ready to be completed. Faithful towards their fallen comrades, the two NAP’s retrieved the consciousness of Sindar Roze, Cha’ Dawn, and Judaa Marr from the datalinks where they had been uploaded. The five NAP personalities were impressed as dominant personalities on the Planet mind, and transcendence completed. They had achieved godhood!

As for the remaining faction leaders, their personalities were forgotten. Their people were allowed to stay on the now tamed planet, and served as slaves to the new gods.

Congratulations to the NAP conspirators, novice, zakalwe, Injera, BrickAstley, and Waterbat. They were victorious!

Waterbat, NAP empath survived to endgame and completed the NAP’s ascent to transcendence.

You are a talent that has specialized in the empathy field. You are employed by Chairman Yang, and have been recruited by him into the evil NAP conspiracy.
One conspirator per night may make a night kill.
You have the following ability: You may have a pm conversation with one player per day. You must send the player name in advance the night before (so this will start on day 2). You must choose a new player the next day, and may never choose a player you have already chosen. Once the day ends you must end all conversation with that player.
You win when all threats to your conspiracy have been eliminated, or if you control a big enough voting block to ensure this.

BrickAstley, NAP supreme ruler survived to endgame and completed the NAP’s ascent to transcendence.

You are Chairman Yang, of the hive. You have secretly aligned yourself with the evil NAP conspiracy.
One conspirator per night may make a night kill.
You have built the following secret projects:
The Dreamtwister – Your probe teams can target one player per night. That player will fail in any night actions he attempts.
In addition, you have the ability to perform a nerve staple, which will prevent all drone riots. Once per night you may target a player, and if that player is a drone he will lose the ability to riot for the rest of the game. Since this is considered an atrocity, this ability can only be used if the current U.N. charter is dissolved.
You win when all threats to your conspiracy have been eliminated, or if you control a big enough voting block to ensure this.
