It was probably in the 8th or 9th turn. Last time I remember there were still 4t left till we could cancel it, but I don't remember exactly what turn that was

Okay I moved around a few units. Yuri did move all his troops into the once and future Hans and Franz, and I positioned our troops as follows

Sorry - wouldn't have enough room to do a sunrise-style composite. Plan is to attack T212. All units have moved this turn already.

Red - galley picking up 1 cat and a poor man's cat (Flanking 2 Horse Archer)
Grey - C2 Formation knight and sentry HA
Blue - C3 and C2 knights
Yellow - 2 C1 Flanking 2 knights - they're healing and will be done next turn, in time to load on the galley T209, unload into Ed Grimley on T210 and move to be in position
Purple - C3 knight due a promotion (C4 or pinch probably)
NE of purple - 2 cats marching
Brown - C3 knight, C3 shock knight, and C1 medic knight
White - 3 C3 knights
Black - 2 C2 shock knights and 1 C2 formation knight
Cyan - between the 2 tiles we have 1 C3 knight, 1 C2 pinch knight, 1 C2 shock knight, and 1 C2 formation knight (glad we have all these formation knights lol)

So in total that's 19 knights, 2 horse archers and 3 cats. In the city, on a hill and currently with 40% defenses, we have

2 C2 Formation Muskets
3 CG2 Longbows
5 CG1 Longbows
1 C1 Longbow (smoke?)
2 C2 Pikes
1 C2 Axe

So like I said the plan is for the cats to move next to the city next turn (T209) and bombard T210 and T211. 3rd cat arrives in Ed Grimley next turn (though out of movement), moves E-SE on T210, SE on T211 and can suicide on T212. If WB sims deem it successful, we may just bombard T210, suicide T211 and go for it. We shall see!

EDIT: Of course the Cyan stacks will attack and capture Typhon XI next turn, so we may have a knight or two that is fairly damaged.

Also astute observers would note that I cut the road leading over to Ed Grimley.

I also swapped a merchant to a priest in Church Lady, which cuts a turn off our Hagia Sophia build time.

Everything else looked good. I queued up some builds using the awesome build queue feature and ended turn. We can check back in later tonight if we want to

We might want to discuss if we should trade Azza Edu or PP. He has 12 gold and 147gpt.

I have us on 30% (+62gpt), finishing Compass at EOT

Really curious how those sims play out: i'm still skeptical that 3 cats will give enough barrage damage

Well the other thing is what is our goal. Are we trying to minimize casualties / war weariness at all?

If not, and I don't think we are, since as we've discussed, the age of the knight is over and once we take this city we won't HAVE any war weariness devil, I bet the sims will show that we can attack on T211 or maybe even T210 and take the city.

Looks like scooter is fighting brick/mist. Do they have gunpowder/engineering? Do we want to gift it to them if they don't?

Ducked out of the game, so you can finish up the military movements, but some notes on what I did:

* Added an Eng specialist at TGR so it can finish its build this turn
* Queued up a work boat in Pat after its Grocer. We may want to build the work boat before the grocer finishes; i'm not sure on the timing there
* Turned up research to 90%. We can 1-turn Optics if we want to. I know we talked about saving gold for Oxford, but that is going to be an 8 turn build. (Although, we may be able to drop it to 7 turns if we bring our workers over to workshop the farms again and then switch them back to farms so we can keep growing after oxford)
* Did some micro at Superfans to get it to start growing. It has 2 happiness to grow into

Hey, i was just thinking (as i wait in line at the grocery) that we should try to settle all those western islands just to have an early warning in place should scooter go against us. He'd have to take those islands before striking the main continent
