lol

You have pretty lame friends then.....

I had a dream last night that I logged into the turn and Commodore showed up near Schweddy Balls with a stack of like 30 knights. I'm strange.... cry

@T-hawk - yes of course that is right, but I was trying to get a rough estimate. I think that we can make it actually - I intentionally estimated conservatively, and obviously it's pretty tricky to get an accurate beaker count for the next 30 turns....

Only Krill left to play the turn so should roll here shortly

Yuri now has 6 hammers in something in the city. Last turn he must have completed something, but I did not see an additional unit. I don't see any walls or castles, and I can't think of what other thing would make sense. Anywho....

We did in fact complete the Spiral Minaret thumbsup and our breakeven is now about 55% science - 467bpt! We have enough gold stored up for 13 turns of max science, which is currently 847bpt (11,000 raw beakers). Obviously that will go up once Oxford completes in 3t.

Tech-wise, Scooter is still showing Astronomy in 3t, but the big news of the day is that Krill has Astronomy!!! I kind of suspected he was going for it, since it makes more sense for him to defend the seas rather than have to defend every single port city. This does make me want to tech Optics this turn, which we can do at max science in 1t. No other techs discovered this turn as far as I can tell. I bet that he had Philosophy completed to within a beaker or two (prepping for a Liberalism run), which explains why he discovered that a few turns ago.

Borders expand at WildCrazyGuys at EOT, so we'll be able to send our settler to the first western isle.

I've named our worker born on Apathy Island "Will Ferrell". Next one would be Yvonne Hudson (1980-81) and then back to the beginning of the alphabet unless you want to go for "Alan Zweibel". We are also going to need a few more sketches for new cities.

Finally, a bit of explanation on how I was able to get the 6th cat in play

Last turn we had 2 cats (#4 and #5) on a galley on the red circle (these were the ones that we had detailed a few turns ago from OTOF). We had an empty galley on the yellow circle. So we moved the red galley to the yellow circle and galley chained the cats to unload inside Ed Grimley. They had no movement last turn but this turn will move E-SE along the road. Last turn I loaded a knight and a cat along the yellow lines into the galley that had started out in the red circle. This turn that galley will move inside Ed Grimley and because these units are unloading inside a city, they WILL have movement, and can also move E-SE along the road. T214 (next turn) they will move next to the city, allowing our T215 attack.

Agree with Optics. Maybe we can buy Astronomy after

That explanation was very long for something as simple as "I loaded a cat onto a galley last turn which will then unload it inside a city this turn, allowing it to move on land as well." In fact it was so long I thought you were doing something far more complex. wink

I think he actually loaded the cats onto one galley last turn (on the red circle), moved that galley over to where there was another galley (the yellow circle), loaded the cats onto the second galley, then moved that second galley into the city and unloaded them.

Yeah it was nothing too crazy. But also there are people of various skill levels who might be reading.

It was just a galley chain, coupled with loading 2 more units on the galley that was "left behind" which can both unload inside Ed Grimley and move this turn

The thing is, you didn't need to do the galley chain. tongue You could have just loaded the left behind units into the Red Galley last turn and unloaded them into the city immediately, and then unloaded the Yellow Galley units this turn. Same result.
