oh - tiny only gets 2 drafts a turn anyway. Well, that's still a sustainable 2 rifles a turn. I'm pretty sure I have 6 cities I can draft from besides the globe city. Whipping rifles isn't as effective, as A) it takes 2 turns to get them without penalty and B) costs 3 pop each whip (assuming a forge)
Cities I can draft from without a problem.
Centaur Aisle
EAC
Inle
Streels
With a slight problem, but not a big one:
NIMH
Peeg Vater
Zuckerman's Farm
Eventually, I think Efrafra would be draftable, as well, making it easier to not draft from one of the commerce cities.
That said... infantry isn't far and it's quite a ways for my opponent, plus I have a UB that does a good job dealing with health issues, so factories are good for me anyway.
As it turns out, Infantry is probably a little further away than I think - it's 10K pop, which is probably 10-15 turns, which is 20-30 rifles. Which is a lot.

I'll have something like 20-25 cavalry, 4-6 rifles, a few curaissers, 5 or 6 catapults and various and a few pikes/LB's/etc to soak up collateral.
The red is where they'll land, the purple is where they'll go next. It's on a road, so good for reinforcement. More rifles will move in as I draft 'em, too.
The blue circle is my staging area. It currently has 15 or so horse units and the catapults. I believe it's the closest (to the front) tile around 100 acre woods that A) has a road and B) he cannot see.

I'm also gearing up for an attack on the West side.
Here you see Red Wall Abbey, Inle and EAC. The campaign for Riften and the cities on this side will be less cavalry and more rifles, mainly cause of the jungle. Not sure when I'll attack here... probably a couple of turns after the other assault starts, cause hopefully, he'll have moved some reserves.
I get steel in 2, so cannon's will start showing up soon, too...

That's my forces near 100 Acre Wood.
24 Cavalry
3 Cuirassier
1 medic III knight
6 rifles
3 pikes
1 spear
2 LB
7 catapults
in my land and
1 rifle and 2 pikes on a grass hill in his land
tht entire stack (except for 2 LB) will show up on that grass hill, along with 2 workers, in 2 turns. I could dump it in next turn (minus 2 rifles), but I'd prefer the extra 2 riles in there, since he's been building rifles like hell...
The 2 extra rifles will move up to cover the workers

oh - he got aesthetics. I assume he'll pick up literature for HE/NE.
Actually, as I think of it, I think I'll just go in. Rifles don't get great odds vs. pinch cavs - enough that his rifles won't just rip through them, at least. I'll win some and lose some, and, frankly, with 24 of them, I'll be able to kill that city, which is what I want to do.
In other things:
I founded Lynchbany NE of Efrafra, finished West Point in Breakfast Flock, which'll give me 11 xp cavalry every other turn. I finish Notre Dame in 2 turns in the cap. And the drafting continues...

went in... thought I'd grabbed a screen shot, but I guess I didn't.
I have about 40 units threatening his city, so I assume a huge battle is in the offing. I get Notre Dame next turn, so that will help.

It's a Tarp!!!
So, I took the city and I'm going to hold it.
But he has a stack of units (got Mil Trad and upgraded his knights to cav, good move!) behind the city to counterattack. Personally, i think he should have left the rifles in the city, but he did not.
Some pics:
I reacted by movign everythign into the city and moving some rifles onto the wounded cavs. he can kill those if he wants, but if I defend everything, he can defeat me in detail. and my rifles are tough.
This is his counterforce by Riften. Presumably, that will hit me after I take the city?
His culture, btw, is a pain in the ass...

we are trading blows. The problem is, of course, everytime he hits me, my war weariness goes up. Everytime I hit him... nothing much happens to his, since we are in his culture.
He killed my injured guys. I killed that stack. He'll kill a curaisser left hanging and may hit the city - I was able to upgrade to pikes to grenadiers, so that will help against his rifles. Course, they don't get automatic CG promos.
His cutlure is annoying - I think I have to kill 2 more cities to be able to reinforce the one I took.
This is going to be a slog...

I meant to do a turn 150 overview, but I didn't get to it until this turn.
Overall analysis is that I have this game won unless I screw up, so I'm playing it maybe more cautiously than I should. I hope that's not too frustrating for him - I'm happy to call it now should he want.
First off, the tech situation:
I am up drama, Theology, Education, Liberalism, Economics, Chemistry, Military Science, Steel and Corporation, about 11K Beakers.
I believe i'm teching faster than him, without being in bureau and with a lot of costs from people in his lands.

, though I might not be. In any case, he'll take a long time to catch up. Presumably, his next target is steel, but the longer he goes without education, the further behind he gets in tech.
Demos show up tops in everything, and I'm up in population, presumably because I've taken 2 of his major cities.
My cities:
Capital, Watership Down:
Now on military, just finished up Notre Dame.
HE city,
I'm dumping cannons in on my stack attacking Riften - I'm tying down a lot of forces, but I can't really hurt him yet. a couple more cannons and then I'll suicde the cats and cannons and start hurting 'em. RedWall Abbey can 1 turn anything and while it's doing cannon's, I have it runing specialists.
Breakfast Flock
West Point
This is making something like 2 cavalry every 3 turns, all with 11 XP. Once I get another GG, that goes for a mil academy there.
Am debating putting in a levee - only 6 extra hammers may not be worht it (10 with forge/mil academy)
manor farm - Globe
Popping out a rifle a turn. I'm up to 23 of the little buggers now, more than I have cavalry...
Peeg Vater
Nothing special - lots of commerce, building some units
100 Acre Wood
100 Acre Wood is on cannon duty. I have to think about this city, because Zuckerman's Farm is looking like it's going to be a freaking powerhouse, and I shold give up some of the tiles:
Levee's will make this an awesome city. I'll let it grow, whip in the levee's and then let it grow more.
NIMH:
My last big commerce city will get a levee, too, and be allowed to grow while making cannons or grenadiers or something.
The cold cities:
These two have been part of the drafting and are still busy making units
Efrafra and it's new neighbor, Lynchbany:
Efrafra is going to start helpign soon,I probably shouldn't have bothered with Lynchbany, but it can help.
Toad Hall, original capitol, now GP farm. Going well.
Streels:
Streels has been very helpful. It's making a settler I'll drop on the ivory that used to hold a Tatan city, then back to cannons with the occasional draft thrown in.
Centaur Aisle.

eh.
So, that's that.
