Whaaat? Why? I didn't even have a public diplo meltdown this time. Though since I don't really do anything other than open a save every three months and only read one thread (to give infrequent and poor feedback) I'm guessing something happened that hasn't been reported yet?

I was looking forward to seeing how long it would take you to run tanks over us...carry on?

I have no remaining desire to have anything to do with this game or frankly, its participants.

Seriously, people. What is happening in this game? Gaspar already attacked me in the WW thread about this and I don't udnerstand. I haven't given any troops to anyone and I was attacking Dave, from which I got two cities recently.

Apparently, there's tons of bad blood between the players (from what I can gather from the banter thread, Dave gifted units to Commodore for attacking Gaspar). I didn't realize that until it was posted, so I offered peace to Dave in exchange of two cities, I didn't know he gifted his army.

Besides mailing my turns (which has a real life motive behind), I don't think I've made any dishonorable moves since I took over from mist. Maybe he gifted some units, but I don't know that.

1) Congrats to Gaspar/NH for winning and playing a great game.

Apparently, I guess? Gaspar and Noble have been playing around from a more or less won position for a while now, ergo tech post about a month ago. No bad blood here, man.

Davy, good job defending, nice job overall considering this was your first ancient start ever, and hilarious end dogpile. Sorry about Thessia, but she's better off this way, you know it.

Gaspar, um, sorry for apparently pissing in your cheerios? Seriously, by all means set the straw-Commodore on fire, I'm over here man. Well played, we all knew you had it in you to win. Try to let it be fun next time around, which probably means playing with a more relaxed team.

Noble, dude, I have no clue. Sheldon and Abed are two of the funniest sitcom characters ever, try to be more like them. I waver in between irritation at your persona and sympathy for what must be a difficult condition. You're an excellent civ player, you really need to play with the big boys one of these days.

Seven, go die in a fire, or a least restrict yourself to scolding the poor bastards in your own games.

Novice, Plako, thanks for the map. The tool/balance was imperfect, but its a darn sight better than natural balance, and well worth further exploration. Please don't take our griping to heart, bitching about the map is the sacred right of every player. And yeah, that means I'm ignoring your gripes in the demogame.

Lurkers, I'm sorry this all ended in less of a boom, more of a damp fluff. Unless, of course, you never commented in my thread, in which case you got far more than you deserve!

For the ones that aren't aware, here's what happened in my/Mist game.

1. We went up for a very good start, with me doing the micro and Mist the long term planning.

2. When we were near our Davey attack with Phracts, Mist asked me to play the turns, because he wanted to coordinate the attack. This was probably not a good decision, because I think I am a better play at micro than Mist. But the worst thing that happened was that Mist forgot to change our civics to Theocracy at the end of our GA, which owned our attack at davey (w would have 5xp Phracts and 2 xp phracts instead of 3 and 0). Since this mistake was partly made by NH asking Mist to hurry with the save (which meant I couldn't make the second check of it), it made me a bit annoyed. I'd appreciate not being constantly harassed about my PYFT ratio or whatever in any further games. I normally can play the save in time and when I don't it isn't because I don't want to. We ended up being very hindered by this constant harassing due to turn playing speed and it wasn't a good feel. So, i guess I'm saying that before people go ahead complaining about how other players make your life miserable, you could think about your own way of treating other players.

3. A bit after Mist started playing the turns, my grandfather passed away and I have a lot of real life difficulties. I got completely out of the game after that.

4. Mist went missing (and I don't know why, which makes me a bit worried) and I had to come back to a game that I was away and which wasn't that much fun anymore. Being harassed again regarding turn speed didn't help either.

So, I think it was a good game overall. But the situation I experienced during it made it difficult to keep on enjoying it.
