It's probably best for you to deal with Maniac if you can wait for his explorers to be free - unless...is it possible for me to be a broker? Maniac could trade his excess Fungal Gin to me, and I could pass mine on to you, perhaps, with compensation going back through.

Is Planet rating what you're most interested in? There might be other ways to get that for you than straight-up resource trades. For example, you own the Concordat, so every Voice of Planet spread is a help; I could definitely agree to spread it faster if you subsidize a bit.

Alas for you, due to the relaxing requirement for resource trading in Planetfall (you just need to have the same plot in both parties' plotgroups) I can already trade resources with Sian. I only need to see a bit of his cultural territory to enable trade routes.

Well, the main thing I wasn't sure about was whether you have any spare units who don't need to be repelling Sareln, to get eyes on his territory. If you can do that on your own, more power to you.

Hmm, I must not have scouted the other. It's 1SE of the one on the very tip of the peninsula? If so, I don't really see a way to take the Brilliance and the Jungle DNA without overlapping your BFC with mine, so I'll settle for just the DNA.

Yes, the other DNA is 1SE of the one you already see. I'll get it in my culture at some point.

I guess this settles the division of land (and sea). FYI: 4S3E of the icy mountain I have a coastal base that I've taken off Domai but that's probably outside your area of interest.
