Oops, forgot to re-subscribe to the tech thread.

Moved moved workers and southwestern Q, but not sure what to do around Barbados. Don't have time now to do anything more than post the raw pictures. Attacking the warrior would delay axe to Tortuga until T53 (from T51). We have 5H production this turn so we could put that into another axe and whip next turn (moving both Q's into Barbados and current axe towards Tortuga). Barbados is growing fast enough that it should be back to size 4 by the time pottery comes in to double whip the terrace.

Note the second-ring forest on the roaded hill 2NE of Animal Farm has disappeared (been chopped). Tortuga can be 1-turned out of the fog by roading the elephant.

We have 3t of whip anger in Barbados already. I'm not sure whipping is the best idea. Then again, desperation...

I think we should move the Quechua on the Cow back into Barbados, and move the Axe towards Tortuga, and not whip an Axe. Maybe just sink hammers into an Axe? Mainly because I'm hesitant to stack whip anger like that. Are we in enough danger to whip units like mad? My first impression is no, but on the other hand, that roaded forest...

We'll need to kill that Warrior by Tortuga, before it threatens our road. Also, we'll need to start a Work Boat in Port Royal once the Spearman finishes.

We can decide on the whip by next turn. We'll need to move both Q's into Barbados because I don't think one unfortified Q will give good enough odds (not worth the risk of having Barbados razed by the warrior). If M3 moves warrior across river to FP then our two Q will be able to kill, and since food/production are counted end of turn we wouldn't even loose a turn of working the tile ... just need to remember to switch the citizen back.

Can't finish turn until I get home in 1.5-2 hrs.

Okay, we'll hit M3's warrior next turn. Anyone know exactly when the Power Graph will update so we can see how high M3's power/our panic levels go? If M3's Warrior by Tortuga moves 1E, I think we should hit it with the 2 Quechuas so it doesn't block the road.

Chopping a forest outside of their fat cross probably means something, but I'm not quite sure if it means mad chopping rush for military. (I hope I don't regret saying that...)

After M3 plays we should snap a pictures of the power grwph. I really don't think whipping another axe will be good unless were in significant danger.

NOTE: I forgot to get a shot of the demos for this turn so whoever logs in next should grab them.

So M3 has 2 axe's and 2 warriors in range to attack T52 (they move before us, so after our T51). Power for M3 continues to spike upwards. Animal farm was 2-pop whipped this turn. I am not despairing yet. Our axe arrives JUST in time. An initial look at the field of battle makes me think we have a chance. Here's where we stand as far as I can see ...

Tortuga EOT51: 2Q's with full fortify bonus, plus 1 Q and 1 Axe move in that turn. M3 attacks T52, loosing an axe to our axe and killing one of the fortified Q's, leaving wounded axe and 2 Q's vs (less) wounded axe and 2 warriors.

Since we are defending on a hill I think we are safe from the forces currently aligned against us. But with the Animal Farm whip??? Might we get another 2 axe's against Tortuga in 3-4 turns? I think we should move the Q's 1SW out of Barbados to (1) keep the road open, and (2) still be in range of getting into Tortuga T52 if necessary ... If we decide to whip Barbados then we can move the Q's 2SW.

I'm regretting saying that...

I think we should whip Axe in Barbados, arrives T53. Copper gets connected this turn, I think we should start working/whipping an Axe in Tortuga, which should complete EOT 52. We should live through T51...

Near Barbados, I think we shouldn't move the Quechuas in Barbados to Tortuga. Instead, I think we should keep them near Barbados so we can move the Axe to Tortuga. Specifically, move the 2 Quechuas 1SW, to protect the road, but don't move them towards Tortuga.

Yes, we need to whip the axe in Barbados...
And keep our fingers crossed....

This may be my n00b showing, but... if they're pushing that hard that fast, are they potentially as slim at their home cities as we are? And if so, could we possibly sell that point to one of their neighbors?

If we could somehow make arrangements with Gillette, they might be in best position there. (I know we haven't met them, but they're probably within 10-15 tiles of M3 between M3 and Trolls - TEAM screenshots don't show any cultural borders but they DO show two roaded tiles that are too far away to be Troll.)
