The forum index loads a LOT faster when you are not logged in. This is definitely not confirmation bias. I'm going to say the unread posts plugin is definitely the culprit now, because that plugin isn't active if you're not logged in.

Ah, I switched it to a JPG and the forum managed to downsize it properly. And yeah, I see that 150x150 might be a bit on the big side.

Is there a way to turn off the unread posts plugin in my user CP?

Hey Guys, I've disabled the unread posts plugin for now as it was creating too much load and as everybody noticed slowing things down. Will look into better options in coming weeks.
