Brainstorming Challenges.

Time to recap, probably.

- Mallyx
- Majesty's Rest HM
- UW/FoW (I wish tongue)
- Any HM Dungeon

Are we going to have about 8 the next saturdays? If we do, we can try Mallyx or one of the Realms of the Gods. Else, we should go for standard HM content.

The real question is what time suits people? Yesterday we tackled two separate objectives in two separate waves. First up three of us pushed through Hard Mode Ring of Fire. Xyn might have been a fourth, but opted out. Then that party vanished a new one formed with a different line up for Normal Mode Frostmaw's, again involving three players with their heroes.

The second group was deep inside Frostmaw's when Xyn returned and Sylva turned up. [Image: frown.gif]

So there's a real case for a later start and yet we know Mucco will want an earlier one... [Image: frown.gif]

There is a double Eye of the North reputation point weekend coming up. I'm keen to let that swing us towards Eye of the North content, preferably in large areas with many foes.

Dungeons? Normal Mode tricky ones would be as viable as Hard Mode ones IMO, so we might actually do something with a Hunt Rampage etc.
Aracni's Haunt
Ooze Pit (all on one level FTW)
Bogroot Growths
Rragar's Menagerie

And vanquishing. Theres always vanquishing. The upshots being the guarantee of many foes (in most places anyway), no reliance on quest-giver NPC spawns and also the reduced impact of the rank 8-10 versus 1-7 character reputation needs.

Anyone have any requests?

I hope to be on this weekend and perhaps this will be an opportune time to finish my hard mode dungeon book :P

Well, we had our share of fun tonight! After we decided to take on Vloxen Excavations HM, it took us three-four times to put together a team that could sort of sustain the difficulty of the area. The mobs were large and very difficult though, with nasty minion masters, super healers and whatnot. It took us four and a half hour to advance at a snail's pace and with a lot of deaths (and consumables!), until the end of the three levels.

The worst moment was when we entered a pool which WarBlade dubbed "suicidal" after a bit. lol Lots of terrible mobs were slowly taken out here.

In the end though, the stubborn group managed it. We couldn't take a picture of everyone together though... people had to leave ASAP.

I want more! (possibly at a human time though!)

Yeah, I'll do it again. That was my second Hard Mode slog through there and I have a few more characters to get through it eventually. thumbsup

Yeah, I'm happy I found another worthy cause for an Armor of Salvation there. [Image: smile.gif] It ran for the entire duration of the final level and given the trouble we had in getting to the second Beacon of Droknar with the buff running I shudder to think where we'd have been without it! So... what's next?

Sylva suggested Ravenheart Gloom today. Maybe that would be something to look at next week. There's also a Dragon Festival coming up - Two or three weekends away by the sounds of things. Whatever weekend the Dragon Festival hits us on I suggest we ignore all this snail-paced dungeon crawling and just party at Shing Jea instead.

Well, since turnout wasn't that great we did one of the easy options: the vanquish of Majesty's Rest.

The mob of Rotscale was very pesky, with rangers on high ground carrying Frozen Soil, and the big dragon himself casting an array of explosive spells like Feast of Corruption. Though, we managed to kill those archers one at a time and then finally take down the boss itself. He was so powerful that even if the whole party focused on him, he still could wipe us once more, alone.

But in the end, he died. smile

Let's get more turnout next time!
