We need new micro plan. I've set research to 0%. Where should I put the beakers? Should we start planning Pyramids run or something else? Religions are also still unclaimed.

Also what to do with the overflow (7 hammers) from Bitter? Granary or spear or what?

Do you think we have a chance at the Pyramids?

Also, what're we thinking we'll do when we raze Losing* - are we going back to ignoring TEAM and carrying on our merry way (except settling all the good sites near them first)? Or are we going to keep trying to cause them grief? In the latter case, putting the overflow into military might be good. Tho do we want a spear or is an Axe more useful?

*Yes, this is counting one's chickens before the eggs have hatched, but it does make a difference to what we do now smile

The bloodthirsty bit of me wants to carry on trying to give TEAM grief, but I have no feel for what's feasible and whether or not we're better expanding more and teching more first.

We should have decent shot still for Pyramids.

Assuming we get rid of Losing, I would just prepare planting one city towards them on some easily defensible hill and focus on other things.

I don't have time for microplanning unfortunately. I would put hammers into a granary and select writing. We're creative, after all.

I agree that a decent short term goal is razing Losing and settling a hill fortress towards TEAM.

As hill-forts go, Losing is pretty well-situated. I say we just replant it.

Would be worth it just for being able to name the replanted city Winning.

I'd kinda like to get their Gold tile out of it. I'm not sure if there's a hill there that makes for a decent city though :-/ There's one 1S of the Gold itself, but I think that manages to miss out on almost all the food in the area frown Or could settle on the Gold itself.

(And should we be re-visiting our plans for a city that takes the Gold between us & Gillette? 20 turns left before our NAP runs out.)

I wouldn't bother with gold. City planted NW from forested deer is a good enough and is best for controlling the area while being defensively good.

We need to get that gold city towards Gillette out too, but let's see how things run out on TEAM front. Best would be that they would gift Losing to us against peace treaty and then we might be better of not being too ambitious in our border deal and let them keep most of the areas north from Losing.

Yeah we should definitely try to swing a deal like that, would be great to be able to send our next settler towards our Gillette gold.

They may have another city somewhere between the capital and Losing. But if we can raze Losing we should push on with our units towards the gold, and see what the situation is.

Short term micro thoughts:

Bitter could put the overflow into a granary, but I'm tempted to put it into another axe. That would make the axe one-whippable right away when when we reach size 2, if we need it. The granary will be one-whippable either way. On the other hand, if we overflow into the granary, we can complete it by chopping the last forest and just keep growing. This seems better, on reflection. So yeah, put the overflow into a granary.

Bloody Mary should complete its axe and start a settler at size 4. I'm thinking it will have to do without a fourth improved tile for three turns, until it whips the settler.

Caipirinha should complete its axe and start a worker at size 3, probably to be whipped and overflowing into a granary.

Tech: I'm good with Writing next.

I had some loose thoughts about worker micro but I'll try to be more concrete instead and post concrete actions.
If you know what I mean.
