[SPOILERS] Novice's nominal nonchalance

Turn has arrived, here's a couple of screenshots:

Mackoti's Quechua has vanished. Both Nico's Warriors have moved into our borders.

Nicolae has had a 4k power increase. Presumably a War Chariot.

Haven't done the rest of the C&D yet, but that was the most important bit.

I'll wait for your instructions before playing smile

Serdoa double-whipped his capital (4->2), had his second cities borders pop for a further 8 land tiles and got a tech with no soldier points. Tentatively suggesting Pottery here. The land numbers for his second city fit with him founding it where we put Ice Cream.

Seven's second city grew from size 1 to 2.

Nicolae got a 4k power increase, no pop, no tech. So that's probably going to be a War Chariot ... could be 2 Warriors, but probably best to be paranoid wink

Not at the moment, I'll have a think & see if I can figure it out though.

I think if there is a WC it must have been made in his capital.

I'm not 100% confident, but it's my best guess and I think it's better odds than flipping a coin.

I had gone through and tried to figure out what he's built when, and got a model that worked and hit almost all the right things at the right time. Playing through it I've fixed one problem, but I'm starting to have trouble fitting the numbers seen on his graphs to the numbers I can get in game. I am also not sure if he has the worker labour available to make the later portion work out which is why I was playing through.

I've got the model on my spreadsheet, here, it breaks down on T28 when I can't seem to figure out a tile combination that gets me 21 food and 7 production as it says on his graphs. I think the solution to all my problems is probably having him chop out a worker somewhere between T21 when he gets BW and T28 when my model falls to pieces. I don't have time now to figure that out, though frown Edit: Note to self - what if he doesn't part build a settler on T19, instead full builds a Worker, then chops the Settler later. This may fix things. Edit 2: Definitely fixes some of them, haven't played through to see if it fixes the rest.)

Let's hope that is so. (If it's not I would have still played the same though.) I'm aiming to have copper hooked on t39, so I can have my first spear in Beach Ball on t40 (completed eot39). This is going to be too close for comfort...

Another advantage of being first in turn order is that I have immediate C&D informing me of Nico's build. If I was after him in turn order, I would lose one turn of reaction time due to when the graphs update, if I understand things correctly (I may not). Although I could also pick it up through the demographics.

I switched EPs to Mackoti, since I have enough EPs for Nico's graphs for the time being.
I have to run.

In other news, our slider showed 9bpt in that screenshot, and with the free beaker our raw output should be 10bpt. We were 14 beakers short of completing Pottery, but we did just that. That means we must have gotten 1.2 + 4*0.06 = 1.44 as our tech modifier. In other words, all our opponents have Pottery.

Good to know, that takes some of the question marks off my tech list for everyone.

Nico whipped his second city and has a new War Chariot.

Serdoa grew his capital back to size 3.

Seven whipped his capital from 5 to 3 (losing 1k power).

Mackoti got a tech with 2k power = Hunting.
