Well... we've lost. I think we should sue for peace and cede Tortuga so we can spend our hammers on things other than Axes.

Sounds bad. What's the damage?
I guess at this point it's just sue for peace with whatever it takes.

We shouldn't loose Tortuga this turn, but yeah it doesn't look good for long-term success. My stubbornness says wait another turn to see what really happens, but this is my first MP game so do what you guys think best. I didn't end turn yet.
Whoever loggs in to end turn, remember to grab a shot of the demographics and move the spear to attack the warrior on the road 2SW of Barbados (probably promote to combat 1 first).

I think we should surrender now before we lose more troops. of course, they might press a ridiculous deal... not much we can do about that.

I too am in Favour of a fight to the bitter end. Either we lose quickly or do some damage. Oherwise we are on the back foot totally. Unless we sue for peace and build nothing but axes for the next twenty turns and declare war again.

A spite war? Is that a good idea? We have absolutely nothing to gain from fighting, unless we fight long enough to retake/secure Tortuga.

What have we to gain from signing peace? We're lost for this game both ways. I'd go for a quick, but interesting ending instead of an unwinnable uphill struggle.
